By all accounts.. this is a 'new' console generation for Xbox if you compare the X to the OG One. . MS simply knows better not to disown 30 million people who purchased their product. That would be like Sony releasing the PS5 this year, just 1 year after the release of the Pro. People would be livid.

30 million is a joke considering it's not selling any better than the Xbox 360 at this point in time. That means less people are buying Xbox One's. I doubt the system(s) will reach a cumulative half of current Xbox 360's sold by 2020.

I wouldn't say it 'always had power'... The only time it had any type of mindshare/marketshare was with Xbox 360, and that was only for a few years. The Xbox and Xbox One have been commercial flops for the company.
It is too early to say the Xbox One X is 'successful' without real numbers, and without any data as to how many current Xbox One/S users upgraded to an X. Phil said it himself that he wants to measure success by how many new people by the consoles.

It really was a decent game. It was just somewhat plagued by its length, repetitive gameplay and cover system. I got the platinum. I would play the sequel in a heartbeat.
For a standard harddrive that will be cost effective for Sony? 2 TB will do. The Pro has 1TB at the moment.
Considering one needs to also buy a bigger HDD for all of the 4k textures. One will be spending $600+ after taxes just to play the same games.

I would buy an Xbox One S but the system has no freaking exclusive games that are worth a damn. Halo/Gears/Forza, and some indies that actually score/review better than the tentpole titles. Where are the Blue Dragons? The Lost Odyssey's? The Fable? or hell, the NEW IP? Oh.. we have to wait till E3...
