If you like social gaming, meeting new people, exploring all the area's, games, and other free fun, enjoy it.
If you don't...don't bother, but to say "hardcore PS3 fanboys never mention Home anymore"...Was it ever made for them?
Beta's all focused on interaction, easier chatting, community functions, clubhouses, party-games, etc. Hardcore gamers can have a hell of alot of fun joining in whatever game is being played by the community,...
...and frequently used for prototypes & development assessment.
It's very useful in robotics for instance, to observe the functional relationship between working parts, in physical operation.
This one for instance has over 1400 parts, recharges itself, and is one of the few robots that had a clear-shell model available to the consumer.

Is there really a gap?
Microsoft refuses to release real numbers, but have released the amount of charges totaling 1.4 billion to cover warranty replacements.
At full retail of $200 each, that is 7 million units (and they pay cheap OEM costs, not retail!)
Has the PS3 already surpassed the 360's in number of WORKING units?
Well...Microsoft? I'm tired of asking this question.
Congrats to Sony for their...
This was one of the last things missing on my list:
Weather - Dynamic surface modeling - Oversteer-Understeer - Structural mechanics - Night-Day effects - Nosediving - Track aerodynamics - Real-world data sets per car - and now Material traction simulation.
About the only thing missing is a Release Date and a Car Payment Simulator.
I hear they're saving that for GT-Repo.
What Metacritic needs to make it a better guide is Olympic style ranking: Drop the highest & lowest scores...Then add up the totals. It's a fair system to eliminate bias in Olympic games...So why not in ours?
Oh...did anyone see 6 bubbles lying around here? I would swear I had all 9, right here next to my name just a week ago...
I must have dropped them in the server room during the upgrade.
He's hacked nothing. His 'exploit' is a hardware memory glitch, and an old one at that.
Sony's over-reacted here, and GeoFAKE doesn't deserve the attention.
I and others are still waiting for the keys and code that actually work under this 'exploit' and all we've gotten is a PHOTOSHOPPED FAKE 'screenshot' and I mean LITERALLY a screenshot from a camera, off a screen, with the clearly defined graphic rectangle of a paste-up over the screenshot...
...That'...
Your joking.
A few things come to mind from the picture :
Virtually complete lack of actual muscles.
Chains, harness, wrist & armbands are leftovers from Amsterdam's last
Fetish Fantasies & Freaks convention.
The Kilt isn't as nice as his other skirts.
Those are Oakleys mythical "I Can't Believe You're Not Kratos" Sunglasses.
Kratos would never wear black dress socks with "I Can't Believ...
THEY'RE IDENTICAL!
The biker gangs! The pandas!
The jackknifing, overturned truckers!
The road ramps! The jumping through skyscrapers!
The 360 flips over broken bridges! The driving up staircases!
The mace-wielding underwear-clad villains on my windshield!
The turning left…
...and then right…
. . . and then sometimes left again!
The rush-hour traffic in flooded tunnels!
The pitchforks!

* Real Gamers Respect
Thanks for reading my mind & writing what many other gamers think.
This generation of 'journalists' 'gamies' and 'fanbrats' are all an embarrassment.
What matters is not the platform, but the game.
This is exactly why we need it. People with such a misguided hatred for a console that they would intentionally ruin games are NOT gamers, and deserve no place here.
IP/MAC Address Blocking is an essential part of maintaining control of a public site, or ghost-masking where the evil one's comments simply aren't even seen by anyone but themselves.
Even that doesn't prevent what is happening here with username spoilers, PM spoilers, comment spoilers...and it's happened...
This isn't even an 'exploit' it's a lame, ANCIENT forced-hardware memory glitch that works on anything with a chip in it.
So old, so simple...so obvious that the cell was actually design to completely invalidate it...in hardware...impervious to everything but an acid vat & electron microscope -- or better, a tomographic scanner.
He even says we'll never have the functional keys to the SPU's and PPU access is above the protected SPU control chain...but still repea...
What, exactly is going on here?
As I see it now, and I've never been one to pick one console over another -- but :
If you own both consoles like me, I'd spend my $60 on the version with more.
Game resolution, Sound, Single-Disc playback, 1080 Cut-Scenes.
I don't worship any console, so can't understand where the question is here. If you own one console or the other just get that version.
With both versions to choose from, why would anyone pay...
To the pathetic coward that entered a disagree for myself and Aquarius :

. . . there are ARTICLES on this site ?
You see, in my experience if a fair, unbiased site looked at the same shots . . . One with more Anti-Aliasing & one with less or without -- a fair, trustworthy site would point this out :
"Z-Console clearly has better anti-aliasing for a smoother appearance"
An unfair, biased, or less-trustworthy site might be more likely to describe the console with less, or no Anti-Aliasing like this :
Console-X "had an overall crisper image quality ...
. . . shouldn't there be TWO tunnels?
.
Ummm, if I remember a PacMan Ass Tattoo . . .
. . . shouldn't it be on an actual ass?
. . . You just can't play it on a PS3 not only for all the reasons I state above and elsewhere, but even if you got past all those, the actual code & code to run a PS3 game starts encoded INSIDE the secure processor inside the PS3.
To give you an example of a similar chip design, the Infineon -- part of the military grade certified Trusted Platform Module architecture...
To extract that embedded code, the chip had to have it's chip housing dissolved in acid, then...
but why can't I simply type in my zip code for personalized information displayed in Life With Playstation?
I can if I stop, click a headline and then type my zip code in, but can't enter my location on the map, or save the zip code for personal weather & news.
This really reduces the usability of this app...for such a tiny tiny addition to the code. I can view all my news, weather and local info, but the program won't remember my location or ...
