Mass Effect 1 is a great game with a story that really will add to playing Mass Effect 2.
The prequel pre-play video explaining Mass Effect 1 before you start 2 is a great idea, but the game on PC is as cheap as $10.
Like getting into the story in Bioshock 1, you want to play Mass Effect 1...You won't regret the $10 spent.
