@wishing in terms of performance but not in overall efficiency,the same could be said about the ps4 in comparison to a similarly spec pc or slightly higher than that.
@super But the overall sales of the ps3 is similar to the 360,even though Sony had a higher price tag,their on line wasn't as mature as Ms in the beginning,it launched a year after the 360 and Ms secured content first on high profile games.
@uni no one cares for the wii getting higher overall sales because it had two things going for it,cheaper price and motion control.

@cam I wouldn't say "noticeably inferior" but they diverge on what their system is meant to do.
What's the price for the CPU?and how likely do you believe there more people with a gtx 690 in comparison to a gtx 670?most people know that PC's will out perform consoles but what holds pc back are API overhead,drives,no standards hardware so a developer could maximize the hardware.
@reynod not really,John carmack has talked about the latency being a bit better that consoles.

@ati the ps4 gpu is in between an hd 7850/7870,imagination technology has purchase a company that develop a chip to accelerates ray tracing.
@sjaak didn't they do that with the Leo demo,combining the best feature of forward and deferred rendering.
If they do,I doubt it'll be hardware base.

@good I don't think their games were unsuccessful this gen,not sure about banjo,but karmic is say they don't have the breathing room to make a variety of games other than kinect stuff.
@vish only thing Ms had over Sony this gen is better third party games and a slightly better online,so it would be hard for Ms to counter unless they were significantly cheaper than Sony.
