With the PS4s larger install base and lack of another popular fps that's coming this year (saying what it is would be obvious), COD is going to sell more on PS4.
Now implying that leagues of 360 owners will be swayed into buying a PS4 due to a 30 day window of dlc? (on a "Halo" year to boot?)....just seems kinda naive.

I've never been a COD fan, but all this hoopla over....a month? It comes out in early November. By the time little Jimmy opens it under the tree, he can get his dlc no matter which console he's got.
The sales are not linear throughout the year.these companies make almost half their total video game sales for the year during the holiday season alone.MS managed some NPD wins last season with a weaker 1st party lineup,no bc,and still carrying some x1 identity crisis issues.I don't have a crystal ball, but I think this holiday they are tracking to do more.
Agreed. Reboots seem all the rage in Hollywood too...And overall I can't say I've been impressed (but there are exceptions like Star Trek)

I played ff7 in 97'. I played Super Mario Brothers in 85-86? I threw a lot of quarters at Pac Man in 80' and Space Invaders before that. I've played a long time and respect and enjoy past glory.
So...Icons and nostalgia have their place. But it doesn't mean Ford should win a new car show by default because of a planned model T remake.
Its convienence for the x1 owner who wants to play red dead redemption again.
Its great to be able to play L4D with your 360 pal and not just see on your feed what they are playing.
Its assurance from MS that 360 games don't all become single player only experiences anytime soon.
Its a feature that can convince people to move up to current gen.

At the 2016 E3, I predict were going to see games shown that none of us know about now....and will be playing before this "trifecta".I don't say this to be mean, but E3 happens every year.Show me what the next year has in store or maybe a little beyond. Yeah...Pirates of the Carribean online was a old MMO I used to play. I think Sony had one too for PC....pirates burning sea or somthing .What I've seen so far reminds me of some of the past games.....Anyway, I am excited for this new game too. Playing pirate with your friends was fun lol.
The market and reviews of it will decide if its worth it. They can always mark down the price later if nessesary.I think Beats headphones are overpriced....but I see them everywhere.
Sure there may be some and others like that Burger King game (lol) no one would care if they ever saw again. But I would wager a lot of titles people loved will be available.
They announced about 100 games when it launches for all later this year and "hundreds" more next year.That tells me just about every game will cross over.
I think the MS presentation was a homerun for them. The holiday seasons are the largest, and they showed heavy hitters you can play this year. The BC will draw people on the fence....while also giving assurances your 360 games won't be forgotten anytime soon (referring to MS support). Even the new controller is reaching out for the hardcore crowd. What I did see coming in 16 like Recore and Rares pirate game looked good too.

80's electronics tended to go heavy on announcing to the world you stepped up (4 head,stereo,auto rewind,digital tuner,etc plastered all over it).

Well the public is used to 2 year contracts with their phones. I can see a similar business model with these consoles working.
I find the different paths to victory both companies are taking interesting. Is one pitching hard on games too far in the future? Is the other going to rely on too much from the past? Yes its more elaborate than that, but the landscape this gen has already changed since 13'
