Not even remotely true.
Running an emulated game in higher resolution does nothing except smooth a couple of jaggies.
The textures going through the emulator are still the same old low res textures.
Emulating anything past PS2 era is basically a sub par experience and complete waste of time.
Even if you get a game running great, you don't get any of the bells and whistles from the console experience.
Because people enjoy spending 2 grand on a machine to play imitations of the real thing.
The last PC user who replied to me in N4G tried to convince me the PC could emulate all console games.

I get frustrated at people who don't understand battery controllers are BETTER.
With the DS4, when you run out of battery life, you are forced to play with a wire looking out the back.
That NEVER happens with the XB1 controller.
What also annoys me is the same people don't understand you can purchase 4 batteries and a battery charger for about 7 dollars.
The battery life in the xb1x controller lasts a VERY lon...

Nor does it offer a robust online experience with near zero cheaters, in fact quite the opposite.
Plus it's 5 times as expensive to purchase.

Never in a million years will this happen.
Any PC operating system has to have the framework for hundreds and thousands of drivers for a huge amount of hardware configurations.
Plus, the sheer vast amount of software available to install will ensure that it can never be optimised.
A console on the other hand has fixed hardware in one configuration and selected software designed specifically for that one fixed hardware configuration.
