Funny, I tried to pre-order it from Bestbuy, that ended in utter failure, BUT, I got a slickdeals notification that Amazon opened up it's pre-orders. when I logged into my Amazon account, The PS5 was already in my shopping cart?!?!, So I was able to secure myself one, then I went to the Playstation direct site and ordered all the accessories. what a bizarre day yesterday was....

It's a video card.....a 1500.00 dollar video card. what does a computer part that is most likely a thousand dollars more than the next gen consoles even compare, it is part of a computer, the consoles are a complete gaming solution...for a third of the price.

MS tend to be habitual liars, so don't be surprised if they remove the restriction on making exclusives for the series x a few months after release, they are only giving Xbox one owners lip service right now because they are famous for abandoning their previous generation consoles almost immediately (if not sooner) after launch of a new one. even then, it is still not worth getting a series X before a PS5.
I agree, the only anti consumer practice that the Console manufacturers are pushing is an all digital console and moving toward a subscription model where you don't own anything but, you pay continually year in and year out.

I agree, Competition is a good thing. a company unchallenged in the market will definitely exploit their position. Microsoft tends to be a special case though, They are ready and willing to destroy all the things that make console gaming fun and a good value. If there was no Sony to push back on what MS was trying to do at the start of this current generation, physical copies would have died 7 years ago, and the average gamer would need their own Rosetta stone just to translate all the convol...
Imagine how much more monetized and restricted Console gaming would have been if Microsoft were the only Console maker in it's market demographic? going back to the PC would be the only sane option.
They use speaker drivers (magnet and coil) probably a piezoelectric driver (because they are small) to create the "Rumble" feel. essentially tiny tactile transducers. (well, that is the way it has been done for years in the past.)
I call shenanigans on this being an actual leak, If it was, why hasn't the "leaker" shown the back of the controller? We all know most likely there is going to be back buttons, not showing it is because Sony doesn't want it to be shown yet. This is a Sony authorized "leak" at best.

Gaming is the only industry that wanting to pay as little as possible for a product gets you branded as "entitled". and the only industry that has a cadre of "fans" that will carry water for a company, free of charge.

Maybe if Microsoft worked on honesty and trust for the long term, rather than promising the world and delivering vapor and silence, they could garner a larger share of the loyalty that Sony and the PlayStation brand enjoys. Microsoft only delivers value when they are trying to crush a competitor... pray, that they never achieve that goal, gaming would be a much worse (and much more expensive) place.
