That is why it is always wise to never preorder games, and NEVER pay full retail. Getting older has made me very patient, I have no qualms about waiting for a price drop or even getting the game used if the price i worth the ROI. That is the best way to deal with this situation, Only time will tell is the market will bear the price increase but, not "going all in" with the new pricing will definitely affect the bottom line of the big publishers. Don't be persuaded by the dummies...

10-4 I just got an Email from Sony that they are going to ship all the accessories I ordered before the end of October, On one hand, I am of the mind "a bird in the hand". If I have them early, I won't have to worry about delays or shipping issues for the accessories when the Console releases and get delivered. but, it is kind of frustrating to have all this Ps5 stuff and no Ps5 to use them with.

Sony is quietly assessing, trying to find the best way to leverage their vast technical knowledge and hardware engineering prowess to find the best outcome to provide a truly innovative product without breaking the bank on production costs.

These are the 2 main (apparent) rules for not being an entitled gamer: 1) always pay full price for a game and always pre-order, that is the only way to properly support the Devs. 2) never say you don't like a popular game for what ever reason, (eg: TLOU2, Halo, God of War ) having a gaming preference is verboten!!
I agree, there needs to be a balance, you want a challenge, enough to make the game fun and engaging but, if the difficulty gets too high there is a risk of sucking the fun out of the game as well.
I agree wholeheartedly! I play games to have fun and relax, if I start getting angry at a game, I may try to do a little research on how to "get past" the frustrating part BUT, if playing a game leaves me frustrated or the game just gets too punishing, I have no qualms about not finishing it. I play games to have fun, not to work.

If you watched the video of the youtuber he was talking about how violently hot the MS external "storage card" was on the Series X while it was in idle mode. I can understand someone getting use to the original actors face and being unhappy with the change, but, to be so mad to threaten someone over it shows a lack of common sense and maturity. they need to realize that anger and threats are the refuge of the weak minded.
Heck, I won't even pay 50.00. I just wait till I can get the game for the price I am willing to pay. I work hard for my money. I don't support the consumer unfriendly (and completely foolish) belief that I "have" to pay full price to "support" The publishers/Developers and their billion dollar profits.
Yeah, the average person just LOVES having as many added monthly bills as possible. and to make the deal even sweeter, almost like the cherry on top of this recurring fee is a healthy dose of sweet, sweet micro-transactions. That has been Microsoft's M.O. since forever! Enter a market and dominate by buying out big players. Almost every technology the sell was acquired and rebranded. From MSDos to MSOffice and even DirectX all things that were NOT made by Microsoft.
As for buying out Development houses, MS track record is pretty bleak, I sure hope that they don't follow what the usually do and shutter a bunch of them a few years in a new console generation. I guess only time will tell....
and if you build or buy a new computer you still can install and play those games, On a console...not so much. Once digital console games have the same rights as Digital PC games will they be comparable.
regardless of what anybody else says, Microsoft has a history of buying up studios at the beginning of a new console generation and then just shuttering them after 2 years. I sure hope for the sake of gaming that they don't follow suit with their past actions.
What a stupid statement, like I said before, the only thing bad for the customer is an all digital console and with a cash cow subscription model that only allows you to "rent" games in perpetuity year in and year out. Thanks but, a few games being released on 2 generations of a console brand is pretty common over the past generations.
