Mario Galaxy 3 would be welcome, however after playing Mario kart 8 and seeing the fun locales, like the airport, Delfino, Boo's mansion, etc. I really want another 3D Mario game more like Mario 64, or maybe a little bit more open world-y

We don't know if they'll be "forcing [it] down our throats" yet. And even if they did, virtual reality is a thing gamers have wanted since, well, forever. I don't remember being a kid and wishing I could flap around to make my raft fly over a log. So VR > Motion (mis)control

I find jump cuts quite annoying at the best of times. But that was pathetic. At least he wasn't super happy, smiling and talking a hundred words a second like other horrible YouTube personalities though
Although they haven't made close to as many games in as many genres, being halfway through Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze I'm going to say that I believe retro studios are as good as Rare ever were

It's a rom hack, very difficult and personally I prefer it more than 3. Try it out!

For the last 10 years, Nintendo has been remaking previous pokemon games on new systems with newer mechanics.
Whether you agree with their choices not, anyone bitching about Nintendo being out of ideas, remakes being the end of the gaming industry, etc. Educate yourselves or stfu.

This game has a steep learning curve, but once you master the mechanics it's a great sonic game, up there with sonic 3 for level design.
