The Last of Us looked good for the age of the console it was running on. However, as great of a game as it was, there were times I looked at graphics and thought, "Damn, that looks like crap."
I don't fault the game for it, but merely the age of the hardware it was running on.
Regardless, TLoU, let alone any other console game, graphically pales in comparison to anything on a decent PC GPU. Not trying to run the PC master race card or anything, ...

No offense, and I'm sure Blacklist is great (I'll be buying it today), but, after watching some gameplay vids, Ubisoft has in no way taken Splinter Cell "back to its roots." >_<
Admittedly, I am a little bummed that Ironside isn't the voice actor for Fisher anymore considering he played the part perfectly. However, it looks like Ubisoft has done an excellent job with this latest title. Can't wait to play it!
No offense, but I don't think there has been any CoD title since the original Modern Warfare that has been deserving of a GOTY award. None of them since have won any GOTYs, either.

Even as an Xbox Live subscriber with a 10-year tenure, I'm gonna have to agree with this one.
Xbox Live is arguably the most populated and stable online gaming service, but PlayStation Plus' extras and benefits are pretty damn awesome. Xbox Live is getting put to shame with those features.
Microsoft definitely needs an overhaul of the Xbox Live subscription. Access to multiplayer gaming, apps, and demos just doesn't suffice for $60 a year.
Not really sure how I feel about Rocksteady being pulled off development of the new Arkham installment, especially considering their awesome track record thus far...

This is a completely true statement here, and a good argument as well. PC gaming is an entirely different beast. You have to deal with driver updates, software updates, troubleshooting, etc., not to mention keeping on top of the PC gaming scene hardware-wise is ridiculously more expensive unless you plan on running things on medium or low or building new PC's every 3 years. But yikes, I never did realize how awful the Arkham City GOTY Edition cover was. It looks like an advertisement for the game's rating rather than the game (even though it was an awesome one). If they had stripped out or at least downsized the text, the cover would look awesome, as the artwork of Batman is really cool. Unfortunately, that text looks ridiculous. >_<
I just finally got around to playing Max Payne 3 for PC after buying it on sale from GameFly's digital client a couple weeks ago. Downright amazing game. I don't think I've ever seen bodies drop so realistically, or such detailed bullet wounds on enemies. It was actually kind of disturbing to watch at first. >_<

I don't necessarily agree that every game tries to be like Call of Duty, as CoD actually borrows most of its features from games that existed long before it, but I can see where you're coming from.
