I am a filmmaker with a degree to back up my claim and I can tell you that if not for American films there wouldn't be half of the innovations and techniques that we have today. Something else to keep in mind is that those "mindless explosion movies" pay for the character driven drama and period pieces that people seem to praise so much. It's a business and they need to make money too.

They have also had a healthy competition with each other since the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games.
I've played both games now and while Brutal Legend is very good UC2 beats it pound for pound. Brutal Legend also doesn't let you skip cutscenes and that is a little annoying.
I also beat the game bubbles. It's phenominal. Started a new game on Crushing, should be fun.
I just finished Uncharted 2 and believe me when I say this, Pepsi is endorsing a great product. The great reviews were correct.
