Tom McShea is the same guy who screwed up the wii motion plus calibration even though it said how to on screen. Then proceed to blame the game even after the edit on the review.
@zaniack they split the naughty dog team. One that did Uncharted 3 and one who did the tlou. I'm not sure if it was the same exact team, but they did split the team for it.
Gamers: "We want a halo game on pc"
Microsoft: "here's a top down Shooter"
Gamers: ....
sorry that was my mistake i thought I read somewhere that microsoft stated that as the reason for the original xbox not being supported. If it was my guess microsoft said it's time to move on regarding the orignal xbox, which is a shame considering it was my favorite xbox thus far and the emulation on the 360 was shoddy sometimes. @timotim It's the same as x86-64, x64 is just another name for it.
No the original xbox and the xbox 360 uses power pc architecture and the xbox one uses a x86. It's still easy to develop for just different coding. Just because consoles are easy to develop for doesn't make them compatible.
Oh god this whole Zelda and skyrim thing is still going on, i got sick of it in 2011 O.o
The GDDR5 Ram alone will help keep games looking decent. If you follow game devs they will often add more streaming tech as they go along. The faster the ram the faster the streaming tech can work. Heck they could even use microsoft's idea of using the cloud if necessary. It's won't be top of the line graphics in a while, but I think the games will still be great looking.
"minecraft-style hits" oh you mean take a huge pc game and bringing it over. That's not really promoting small indie gaming, if they were doing that they'd actually loosen up on restrictions. Something even nintendo, notorious for restrictions, has even done.
Meh nintendo will be fine in the end of it. All they'll have to do is give us a firmware update worth downloading (maybe miiverse) and they'll have it patched up for a while (if not more if they add in security on miiverse). They all ready confirmed they can brick 3ds consoles with custom software on it.
I think it is legal.I recall something saying we have the rights to play the disc, but not to resell it, reproduce or use for public use unless covered by the faire use act
1000 pts for whatever's on mtv
That from the raid mode, it's kinda odd, but this is resident evil afterall. They've all had their odd moments
This seems to be getting good reviews thus far, can't say i'm surprised though. I played it on the 3ds and I enjoyed it far more then re5/re6. Hopefully alot of people buy it so capcom gets the message people want a bit more atmosphere in their games.
No it ran the chameleon engine, nfs the run ran on frostbite 2. Personally i think it's bs that frostbite 3 runs on xbox 360, but they can't get it to work on wii u. It's probably politics more than anything.
Haha the 2 years of dev cycle excuse is getting old activison, you make millions of dollars if you can't hire a big enough crew of people to make a new engine within a year then you need to check where your cash is going (most likely into their wallet).
In an industry that people want a survival horror game it could very well be a game many people want. It's almost seems like free money tbh.
It might be a good idea to evolve the multimedia purposes but to focus on that the way Microsoft has will hurt the games. Take for an example the ram not only is it slower but there is only 5gb avalible to games because of the os. Plus the focus on kinect is hurting the hardware as well by putting more cost into the hardware, just use smart glass for stuff like that. It's gonna be available in most common devices.
I called this months ago this gen, for me, will be pc, ps4, and Wii u for me. Microsoft went the route everyone knew they were going and feared they were going. indies have been attracted to all three of the above and I can't wait to see their games.
I'm not surprised kill zone looked better, cod ghost reminded me of nothing more than the best 30 fps game on current gen but at 60 fps albeit with some upgrades
Just because a game has a meta critic score it doesn't mean every review will be based on that, it's an average and averages have their lows and their high scores based on peoples opinions. Just like any other game there will be reviews lower then the average. Not saying polygon was right, but it's what happens with reviewing.
