...or is that DLC scam still going strong!?
I was planning on boycotting this game, and I did, but then I won it in a competition.
I just felt they had slacked off, just making a Forza HD, or Forza 1.5, and I didnt like that they were already talking about paying for DLC when the game wasnt even out yet.
Looking at the lack of tracks, and less cars than planned, it seems they cut stuff out from the retailversion, in order to make more cash later on through...
... they're probably the biggest and richest software-only company (game-wise), yet they apparently cant manage to hire capable programmers to get a proper release out of the door...
They keep throwing unfinished crap onto the market, instead of first making sure it all works and works properly.... and yet they still charge full-price for their hurried releases...
... and it's very good news that we'll get the option for japanese voices with english subs...
Also, there will be 25 characters, which is great...
The only thing I'm worried about, is the last few lines in the article, about the 'no comment' on DLC. I really hope this will not be another DLC scam, like the 360 Ubisoft version.
... it isnt good that a big-ass company like EA is just buying up all the interesting studios, instead of just competing on their own merits, by designing quality games that gives a good-quality alternative...
EA is being lazy and greedy, instead of original and daring.
Gamers need choice, otherwise we will just have 1 basketball game, 1 football game, 1 soccergame, etc etc... and they will not innovate and improve, cause there will be no need to best the competi...
... In the first 1-2 MK games, yeah, there were a couple of nice characters, like Liu Kang, Johnny Something, Sonia, Goro, and for those who cared Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but after part two they just went nuts with all kinds of outrageous characters and weirdos and freaks etc...

Marvel vs Capcom 2 was fantastic btw, but the DC and MK characters are very different from the Marvel and Capcom characters.
It wouldnt work. It wont work.
And TBH, Mortal Kombat has never been about the CHARACTERS,but about the fun, easy to pick up, violent gameplay, which is great... but not when you suddenly take out the gore and fatalities etc.
Rockstar wouldnt have improved from a takeover, thus the games would get worse and there would be wayyyy more DLC scamming going on. Think of paying per song, or per radiochannel...
Being able to buy extra cars and weapons as DLC.
And dont forget EA's reputation with online games... :(
So yeah, very VERY happy that TakeTwo passed on the takeover.
Not JUST because of GTA, but because of their other games as well (Bioshock, the sportsgames, etc)
... I really wish this bundle would come to Holland. We really need an Elite-bundle here, as it's always been sold without any games...
I would buy this bundle, for this price, in a heartbeat.
But if they dont do a GTA Elite bundle here, I think I will just buy the GTA-PS3 bundle for 400 euro. (or hope that they will release a 80 GB MGS bundle...)

... if games would just remain in the original language, without being dubbed. And if you are a company that's making a game that will have cross-over appeal, you should already start including subtitles etc in the first version of the game.
I dont buy games that only have the dubbed voices. Cant stand dubs. They usually (there are exceptions) dont hold up.
... but that's only for Halo 3.
When you buy any 360 PLUS Halo 3, you get GTA4 for FREE.
For me, personally, that isnt an interesting deal, cause
1: I already own Halo 3. I bought it when an etailer messed up and offered halo 3 PLUS 13 months Xbox live for 60 euro. I figured I might as well take advantage of that, thus getting a free game...
So for me the deal means nothing. For people who ARE interested in Halo 3 AND GTA4, its a nice deal....

... because there have been many MANY GREAT games made in the past, that are now unplayable because of broken consoles, bad graphics, out of date programming, etc... but really deserve to be experienced again by new and old generations.
Think of games like Monkey Island 1 and 2, or Turrican, or Sonic 1 and 2.
I would love to be able to play games like that in gorgeous updated HD graphics!
And slightly newer games, like the PS1 and 2 classics, and dreamcas...

Havent really played it. Havent even reached the first boss I think.
... and the only 'bug' I got so far was getting stuck between a rock and a wall... and couldnt get out of it.
Anyway,it looks like an awesome game, so I'm now in the process of finding mods that make it run smoother and look better etc.
... if they would just come out with an Elite + GTA bundle.
I'm interested in getting a 360, and in getting GTA4... but the only 360 I'm interested in, is the Elite, which is 370 EURO and comes without ANY games here in Holland.
So when the 400 euro PS3 GTA bundle hits, I might pick that on up instead.
I cant believe the Elite is still so expensive and without games here in Europe... :(
...do people seriously think we'll get a complete new city as DLC!? You do realize some people only have a 20GB HD, right!?
It will just be s new main character and a new supporting cast, a whole new story, new songs and new vehicles and outfits etc.
edit: BTW, if EA buys out Rock*, we will probably be able to buy individual guns(!) :P

... I played Forza 1 extensively on Xbox 1, 200+ hours, great great game...
