Yeah, Im with you. I'd love it if this were true but it seems like speculation when you read the article

6Tflops will still be fairly high end at this point. Not top of the line but I doubt Nvidia will have there 11 series cards out at this point, and the 1080 rates at 8.5tflops. Sure somebody is gonna SLI two 1080 and build a true beast but generally speaking a 6tflop console will still be better than the average for PCs.

Not to mention a console is still a closed system that can be optimized for so you can push more performance out of that 6Tflops than you could out of the...

from digital foundry yesterday:

"There are two theoretical CPU technologies available to Microsoft here - the existing Jaguar cores (or perhaps a more modern version thereof), or AMD's upcoming Zen technology. Weighing the balance of probabilities, we'd say that it's unlikely to be Zen - if it were, we'd expect Microsoft to have made a much bigger deal of it. But secondly, what we know of the eight-core Zen is that it's a high-end desktop processor ...

did MS run over your dog or something?

They just announced they are releasing the most powerful console ever made coming out next year....so no, thats the exact opposite

The content isn't compeling... unless you're an xbox fan and like MS first party games like I do. Many others do as well. And this whole 'why get an xbox, just upgrade your PC' is the dumbest argument I've heard. Are you the only one in your house that use your TV, console or PC? I know I'm not. With the Scorpio and a great PC, I can buy the game once, play it on both platforms, saves carry over, and I can play multiplayer with my wife in my own house on two differ...

Its awesome but the markup is a little hefty. 99.99 in Canada while a normal controller is 69.99

but what about on the Neo?

I can't find one for less than 399

They said the exact opposite at the conference when the scorpio was announced. Do you just make it up as you go?

4K blueray player that plays XB1 games for 299$. Thats the reason

MS is smarter than that. If they can't get it out for 500$ or less they wouldn't do it. Wouldn't be surprised if they take a loss on the console for the first year or so

So the player has parkinsons? It was very reminiscent of old move demos

3677d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

maybe he wants both? I know I do. I've got a great gaming PC already but I share my PC and my console with my girlfriend, the play anywhere initiative makes having both very enticing

I don't think the Xbox outputs a 4K signal but I could be wrong. So the TV might upscale but not the xbox

Im leaning towards it too
