It's not "sexualizing" men though. It's idealizing them. Giving the male characters "perfect muscular bodies, super tight cloths" isn't for the benefit of the female audience, and it's rarely done with the aim of being "sexy".
Whereas the sexualizing of female characters is done for the sole reason of turning the male audience on.
I won't comment on the "girls sexualize themselves in everyday life" ...

Considering how well both the Wii and DS have been doing sales-wise, I don't think Reggie's all too worried about any competition.
I hate to play Devils Advocate, but he was mainly just the concept artist for most of those titles. And your mileage may vary on whether or not Advent Children was a good or bad thing.
Even if it goes multiplat, I still expect a quality game. There is no excuse for FFXIII's lack of quality. If Square can make a good game on a PS1 or PS2 disc, they can make a good game on a 360 disc.
