Sadly the majority of people on this site seem to be in the "it's cool to act like an uncaring douche" stage of their teen years. Hopefully they will grow out of it once they leave high school.
Do we really need to bring up the whole God debate here? Let people express happiness for Kojima and concern for Japan however they want. Whatever puts people at ease and helps them through this.

Who said Kojima deserves more caring than anyone else in Japan? He is a recognizable figure in the gaming community and people are just happy to know he is okay.
Nobody was claiming he deserved any more care and concern than anybody else in Japan. But don't bag out people for expressing happiness that somebody they like is healthy and safe.
Japan will recover in weeks? As much as we all hope that will be true, I can't see that happening. The sheer devastation and amount of debris (entire buildings and ships have floated inland) will take months to clean up. The economy might bounce back, but for the people directly affected it will take a while.

That's bullshit. Games should be reviewed based on the year they were released and the technology that was available at the time. Not compared to games that are obviously more up-to-date and technologically advanced....

Admittedly female gamers should be allowed to speak through their microphones or have feminine usernames and not be harassed online. Anyone should be able to game online without having to "hide" an aspect of themselves in fear of harassment.
