a side quest in fallout is more engaging (and longer to complete) than a COD games entire campaign.
In what ways has COD evolved, parkour and jet packs that's about it.
Fallout has evolved to include an entire settlement game within its game (of my 40hrs about 15 has already been devoted to this addictive aspect). Not to mention the leaps and bounds evolution of the games combat, artistic style, and gameplay variety.
I've passed the 40hr mark already on fallout took a LONG weekend. Now am back at work so only an hour or 2 a day, but still expect to reach 100 by years end
I am without wifi at the moment so haven't gotten the day one patch. I have had 0 framerate issues. The only major issue with freezing etc is using elevators (it freezes for like a minute every time (might be a messed up loading screen or something)
overall the game plays great,
when a game I've waited for as long as SW Battlefront is gunna have to wait due to fallout, what chance would TR have? people can claim its great but honestly the TR reboot did nothing but make me cringe. The absolute worst quick times in games. I am not interesed in watching a girl get impaled by trees over and over and over again. That game was like some guro fetish, and even if the sequel came to PS4 I would of steered clear.

watching all those trailers has really turned me off of the PS-VR. Almost none of those looked like games I like, and it has the same indy monotony that seems to plague the system (why is every damn indy game coming out trying to be the same 5 damn games? half the horror games I've seen just want to be PT, but without Kojima's giant brain to make them awesome.
They really need some RPGs both J and western, and not crappy MMOs li...

I chose those movies specifically FOR THAT REASON.
To look at a claymation it is malformed, raw, and antiquated. But still is an extremely appealing film, and the look is a big part of that.
The same goes for Fallout.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To look at that deathclaw is to stare death in the eye.
So a movie like Nightmare before Christmas isn't as good as a movie like Cars, because one has technically superior graphics?
Graphics only matter if they break a game. I don't see anything that will break the game or effect immersion. So I couldn't care less.
at least the Jones version tastes great. Having it as a collectible is one thing. drinking some quantum while I skip work for 3 days to play that game straight. nice.

I'm a sony fanboy but yeah it is cool that you guys get that. Luckily I got the Anthology collection, and am playing my very first game on PC (fallout 1) Fallout 1 is amazing, didn't think I'd like it but it is outright good on its own.
Can't wait for Fallout 4 regardless.

I would much rather not invest 100$. If the game sucks it is a much smaller loss, whereas if the game is amazing you get all these extra missions whatnot after the fact that you can buy.
Fallout will be the first and probably only game I will be getting the season pass for, because I KNOW I want it.
Then there is the issue with dev times, do all the dlc in the disc means 1 year more of waiting, hell Bethesda doesn't even know WHAT their dlc will be yet. 7 years is enough...
I really hope it is a TRUE poster (full sized and safely rolled up) as opposed to a crappy game disc inclusion that is a folded up mess. Just because it is the waste doesn't mean it can't be shiny and smooth.
as a webcomic artist I can tell you that in no way is that "Artistic Direction" it is just plain lazy. Not all anime is like that crap anyways (look at the very emotive faces in Samurai Champloo)
I see Japanese games still look like PS2 games. Seriously none of those faces had any emotion and looked like plastic toys.
As I have the Anthology preordered I couldn't care about getting FO3 on PS4. Just over a week to go :)
But for those that don't I don't see it as a problem as everyone should have at least one last gen console and it was available for both. Can't understand why anyone would get rid of their old when you are constantly getting free content through PS+ every month. I will never buy another last gen game but sure want those 24 free games each year that come with my online...
12mil, 6mil regardless that is impressive. I believe fallout 3 has only sold about 9 or 10million copies to date and it has almost been a decade, to sell about that many on the first day shows that they are kicking butt. Meanwhile COD has been losing momentum ever since Stinky Fish 2 (COD:BO2)
