because its a "presentation" PRESENTATION matters.
I've been super excited for Death Stranding since it was first teased almost 2 years ago. To find out that it is nothing more than a walking sim like Firewatch or the plethora of others that came out early this gen is a huge disappointment, that combined with still no word on when Dreams is coming really soured me on Sony's show. You toss in the terrible format and the twitch channel going offline during Ghosts of Tsushima it took it to a level of awful I never thought Sony could deli...
yeah I've been waiting for that game for 5 years, I want to use it to create animated shorts and other things and I have tons of ideas but its a punch to the gut to still have no firm date of when I can get my hands on Dreams.
I am angry we still don't have a release date for dreams.
But this isn't a game, its a walking sim.
Yeah it was one of the very first games shown back at the ps4 reveal. It sold me on this gen and 5 years later am still waiting for it. They announced a beta way back in 2016 and we still just have a vague future time to experience it.
they sure did. They teased Dreams like 6 times with no payoff. The only way you constantly cut to 5 second Dreams clips between trailers is if the show was going to end with a HUGE Dreams announcement. The show should of ended with Dreams getting a damn release date and all PS+ members being able to play it immediately in a beta.
Also NONE OF THE GAMES HAD RELEASE DATES. The number one defense I've heard is well they wanted to "focus on games coming in the near future"...
That was a different time, back then e3 was for the investors, all sucked (but yeah that one sucked worse than usual for the time) But in todays era this is supposed to be for the fans, and stopping the show to stall for 15 minutes while they changed venues, as well as Shawn layden talking a mile a minute like he was just stalling for even more time and was saying whatever entered his head instead of having prepared a speech with a teleprompter to keep him to task was mindblowingly bad. Then ...
yeah and what about with death stranding, Was it intentionally glitching out with colorful lines to look like an old silent film's footage, because the way it also coincided with a bunch of audio glitches I couldn't tell if that was a part of the glitch or an intentional addition.
this was the worst e3 Sony has ever done. did the official twitch ever come back after it went offline during the stupid 10 minute post show in the middle of the F'ing conference? Had to watch the whole thing 10 minutes behind on youtube because of that. Also the audio was complete crap. The talking in last of us sounded like a student film was in that barn trying to capture it on one of those tiny booms attached to the front of their digital camcorder. Then at the end of the show on the ...
well they better get better than halo 6 because Ghosts of Tsushima is definitely a PS5 game (beyond good and evil 2 and star field will be multiplat next generation) but to compare the exclusives, Ghosts looks better than Halo
How? Halfway through the show they start to get at what seems like an apology, but then instead of saying "we're sorry" they go well we do anti bullying charity so stop bullying us media :(
I am pumped for both that and sessions, but I've been watching a lot of death stranding conspiracy videos on YouTube so am super pumped about concrete info on that fame. My personal highlight is going to be Dreams though
death stranding is better than everything shown combined
there was some pretty good stuff on show. I think it was a huge improvement for xbox and for the first time they acted, instead of talked. For years they said they were "investing" in new games, now they've ACTUALLY done something (yeah its 5 years after they started claiming they were doing something but better late than never).
Sessions looks good, nice to see a AAA skateboarding game this gen
Cyberpunk looks awesome
fallout 76 looks awesome
I hate Microsoft and still I can admit it was a great show. I don't care about whether the games are exclusive I look at presentation when it comes to e3 and they really upped every previous year.
Sessions is one that most seemed to have forgotten but it has been an entire generation without a AAA skateboarding game, so am excited for that
They will soon use this service to expand into the first party world. The future is going to be like what we have been seeing with the Netflix competitors, now every network is trying to fracture content into their own little ecosystems that they can get a constant money flow from. This will only lead to less effort and less big games, they'll each get the one big game to sell it and the rest of the stuff you see is going to be like we are already seeing out of Microsoft, little mediocre ...
The best lineup ever. Most were cancelled or not released and those that have are mediocre
Fallout 4 wasn't a fallout game. It offered no choice "HERE ARE THE MINUTEMEN, THEY'RE YOUR BEST FRIENDS, SAVE THEM" I STOPPED playing after getting to the institute and finding I couldn't just kill father then got stuck in a game breaking glitch where the institute guy was just hanging out at the boat making it impossible to further the game because the game CHOSE FOR ME my cooperation with the institute.
Fallout 3 and NV were about player choice, 4 wasn't...
They should of acquired or built from scratch at least 1 Japanese company. I don't know why don't they pick up some of the legends over there that have been floundering on Kickstarter like the sonic creator, the mega man creator, or the castlevania creator. They could pony up the IP of mega man or castlevania as Capcom are struggling and Konami don't give 2 shits about gaming.
That would go a long way to start building back those bridges, but would still probably take an...
