The game may sit on my shelf, but the memories of one of the most kick ass stories in gaming will stay with me forever. Personally I prefer games that end. And actually there is planned DLC so it probably won't be sitting on my shelf at least until GTA V comes out.

yeah achievements aren't that bad i guess. i just remember being a lot happier with games back when i didn't collect them. i 100% the majority of my games.
i've always tried to get the maximum value out of each and every game, but some achievements are just a monotonous drag.
I think it'd be baller if they released against Call of Duty and smashed its numbers right after snubbing E3.

Honestly, I was not very excited going into Max Payne 3, but I bought it because it was R* and I trust them. After playing through the Singleplayer, I can say WITHOUT A DOUBT that this is my FAVORITE ROCKSTAR GAME to date and I've played them all.
Story - 10/10 Shit gets real. Not predictable. Keeps you hooked. Protagonist isn't some fancy pants do-gooder. A real guy with real flaws makes for a much more interesting story.

Actually a few of my friends didnt pick up Max Payne 3 because they were picking up Diablo so that's not entirely true although I agree with you in general. It's different for everybody. They said they'd get it eventually tho.
It doesnt matter. Both good games on different platforms (consoles and PC). Smart gamers who owned both would play Max Payne 3 because all you do in D3 is sit in the que to play your singleplayer. rofl idiots.

I have both those systems and bought nearly every game they put out for them. Their libraries were lacking though. I bought probably 2-3 times as many PS2 games because there were more to buy.
