Just have a solid vision of what you want your game to be and make it. Play it, reiterate and refine. Cut out anything that doesn't kick ass.
Don't bend the game for some standard, age bracket, convention and don't let profits or costs obscure the vision.

Battlefield is trash. BFBC2 was the last quality game Dice made and the last one they'll get my money for. Hope they do with Dice what they've done with every other developer they've ruined.
I hate this so much. It's penalizing us who buy games on release. It's part of why i'm totally supporting Darksiders 2 aside from the fact that it's going to be a kickass gamer's game.
If you buy it off the THQ site you will get the DLC for free. You get a full freaking game for your money!
That's funny because if you try and preorder Darksiders 2 on the THQ store the $100 retail package collectors edition is COMPLETELY SOLD OUT. I tried preordering it yesterday. They better get some more in stock soon so I can give them my money!!

I can't get enough Castlevania ever since seeing the trailer for Lords of Shadow 2.
Currently playing the HELL out of Harmony of Despair for all the super rare items. I love all the rpg goodness with this game, but can't wait for the epic story and killer soundtrack with LoS2.

I'm not surprised Blizzard have been total sleezebags lately being so close to activision. Not even wc4 could get me to touch one of their games again. Valve is the new blizzard. They provide the best value and the games that are built to last.

But going back through it a second time made me realize how much easier it was especially after playing the multi for a few weeks.

In this game's defense, pretty much everything for the next few years is going to be an "Uncharted ripoff". Naughty Dog is 3 steps ahead of the game. Everyone wants to emulate their greatness and you can't blame them.
