One of the greatest games ever was Shenmue. It was filled with QTE, way more than the Order. At least play the game before judging. Its nothing like what the "reviews" are making it out to be. Its actually a top notch game. (currently on level 2, and so far so good)
yeah, thats because I'm playing the game right now, and I just don't understand the low scores. There is NO WAY in hell that the scores below 7 are fair and balanced. They just aren't. Its not POSSIBLE. And having played the GAME, the criticisms smell SOO fishy.
Music is SO important to a video game. It sets the mood and causes excitement. A proper musical score is huge I think.
Welcome to n4g. I see this is your first ever comment (;
Wow just wow
Playing on second chapter, and im really enjoying it. The gameplay is intense and fun, not too deep but fun. If you liked Gears of War you will like The Order. The story is really good so far, the characters are interesting, sound and voice acting is amazing, graphics are out of this world. Im actually liking the aspect ratio (black bars) because when you walk into a cathedral and look around in panoramic, man, its a delight to see. The game takes your control from time to time, but rewards y...
Not sure if youve played the game, but its good, trust me. There is cutscenes and it sometimes takes control from you, but overall you will appreciate the game. The story telling is world class. Gameplay wise, if you liked Gears of War you will like the Order.
Thanks for the "spoiler alert"
Appreciate it
On point: yeah i want to see a sequel, ive only played the first two chapters but im liking what i see.
I would give it between 8.5-9.25, but the score is at least reasonable. Having played two chapters, i can say with certainty that the scores under 7 are outlandish. The game deserves your attention. To say otherwise is a disservice to gamers in my opinion.
On lenght: the first chapter took me about 40 minutes, the game is 20-something chapters from what i have read, it seems consistent with a regular lenght third person shooter.
Are you just throwing words around? What the hell is "extrnely linear and retarded AI"? the game has a great story actually so far. Better than most i would say. The AI, i havent had any issues with yet, and the gameplay is fun and the word intense comes to mind. (The guns are my personal fav thing about the game)
Now that the paid off negative reviews are over with, we are seeing more balanced reviews it seems. Im playing the game right now, i can tell you, anyone who gave this game a 7 or below was really unfair. Im on the second chapter, played the first chapter twice because i wanted my gf to watch it with me. Personally im baffled at the reviews and criticisms. Personally the game is between 8.5-9.25 for me (unless somehow it faulters later) the production value is unlike anything ive ever seen, l...
Its good because it diversifies the games when the console has a good market base around the world.
Its a nice gesture.
Im currently playing it and the early reviews giving it 2s,3s,6s must have been playing something else. The game is freakin awesome.
I thought they had reached rock buttom and would stabilize at 250 consoles a week. But i guess its still slipping
But its the first time that criticism has been touted as game breaking, you can have your preference but when its stated as a fact, as to effect the ratings of the game, when almost every game in that genre is the same lenght, that is where there is a problem.
Actually nick the game won 25 E3 awards before the demo was criticized. So no, the criticism was not justified. (And it isnt now that im playing it for myself)
But is it going to be innovating the racing genre? Because otherwise its not good enough. It better have some new innovations in gameplay.
Gaming journalism has happened. Im currently LOVING the Order.
The gameplay is similar to Gear of War. If you liked that game you would like The Order. There is no multiplayer, and I can't explain to you what the game is like because so much rides on presentation, which is TOP NOTCH. You would have to play it for yourself to see what I mean. Personally, I'm having fun with it.
