Most of the PS4's games (indies f2p) can be played on other platforms it makes more sense to compliment your PC/Wii U setup with an X1.

When comparing the PS4 and X1 the "better value" argument is irrelevant now due to Micro's recent changes with XBL. Apps are no longer behind a pay wall and Games for Gold is now modeled after PS+. So if we want to be honest about it XBL is better overall vs PSN; if we're comparing the X1 vs PS4.

I agree and disagree. If every game was available on one console why the hell would one go with the PS4? The X1 has more features and XBL has a more stable and reliable infrastructure than PSN. Plus, having 300k servers will help make games run soother with less lag. MS has nothing to prove here because it just is what it is. I don't see how anyone could come to a conclusion like that without looking at the whole picture and taking everything into consideration first.
Why own a PS4 instead of an X1? Most PS4 games are indies followed by a few f2p, all of which can be played on another platform. A waist of money unless you are an absolute fan of KZ or Infamous.
Besides, Yoshida has pretty much already said that there will be less AAA games for the PS4 in the future due to high development costs. The PS2 days are long gone my friend time to get over it and move on.
