The best part about all these games coming out is, by the time I play catch up, most of these games will be discounted! LOL
Didn't realize Sony had so many coming out this year! Hopefully these are all on target for release, because there will be something for everyone!
Yes, I updated after posting this with Xbox and PC
With that many available skills and trees, I really hope this game comes with new game plus. I feel that NG+ gives RPG's A LOT of replay value, in my opinion. Honestly, I don't see why EVERY RPG game doesn't come with NG+
I'm digging the fact that they're using the pre-Viking era where the Norse gods roamed the earth, and the creatures weren't extinct. I have complete faith in Cory Barlog (always tough to avoid saying Balrog instead lol) to make a fantastic game!
I'm glad there will be a semi-clean break from the previous trilogy. I think by not tying themselves directly to Shepard and one of the multiple endings from 3, they can open up the story and expand on more lore from the Mass Effect universe.
I'm actually really looking forward to this. As I've stated before, I truly believe the vampire genre (along with westerns) is under utilized in the gaming market.
Never played the first one, might need to pick this one up.
What really bothered me reading this article was the statement “It wasn’t for them. They’re a very niche audience, really. [It was more] can we persuade people who play Call of Duty now to play a Legacy of Kain game"?
Sooooo, you cancelled what could have possibly been a great addition to a heavily underrated (in my humble opinion) franchise because you didn't think you could attract COD gamers? The ridiculousness is ridiculous!
Honestly I feel l...
Welp, there goes hope for everyone who wanted a full trilogy remaster.
The games art design and general feel remind me of Bioshock: Infinite.
This is great news! The only other thing I wish they would have added to the trophies was a progress bar to indicate how much you have left to achieve for certain trophies (ex: 25 out of 100 head shots).
Maybe I'm just too demanding! lol
I think the mindset was similar to Titanfall. Quick out the gate with reviews and sales, but got stale quick. There's only so much online only (I don't count the bots for solo as the game isn't as fun in my opinion) that people will play when there are so many games available (both indie and AAA) that offer more robust experiences.
Maybe that's just me though.
I definitely like the change of pace, and it's funny that realism is a change of pace! LOL
I didn't let go of it, it let go of me...3 times actually, RROD. I wasn't investing in another after that, and just recently got Xbox One this past Christmas. Waited to see if there were any hardware issues again.
Eh, it is what it is though.
Am I the only one who wishes we could play 360 downloaded games on Xbox One? Don't have a 360 anymore, but would have loved to play The Witcher II last month.
Oh, well in that case, I retract my previous comment! Lol. Still, the gist of what I was saying remains that same.
Metacritic is sitting at 65. Mediocre reception in my opinion, especially for a game that was being touted as the next big thing for Playstation. But like I said, I'm really hoping this is something they can build on and grow. I believe that this could turn into a great franchise if they focus on adding more depth to gameplay since they seem to have the cinematic side of it down pat.
But maybe that's just me.
This whole ordeal reminds me of Assassin's Creed when it first came out. Big idea, mediocre reception, sequel fixed almost everything wrong and sparked a good franchise. I hope this has the same kind of outcome as I actually am enjoying the game and hope they can expand on what they have, while improving it, overall.
Does anyone actually ever get these right?
