its interesting to me because the game appears to be playable outside of a dev kit/pc set up, which is an indicator of how far along the game could be. i am just assuming this however, so...yeah.
i get on n4g and there's fifty article talking about uncharted 3. I don't even know where to begin. My brain can't process this. I really don't know what to say. I mean, I knew it was coming, I think most of us assumed next year, but actually seeing it announced is a whole different situation. What am I talking about? why am I typing? I'm a grown man, why am I reacting this way??! I need to lay down.
i finish every game i play. I don't understand how someone can have a pile of unfinished games in their possession. i buy a game, i finish the game, then buy another. and what i'm going to say next is not going to go over well, but,
after browsing some of the comment history i suggest some of you stop spending 4-5 hours online/on n4g and go play some games.
"Move has been out for 2 months longer than Kinect."
isn't that the same point sony fans make when talking about the lead the 360 has over the ps3? Its good that someone who clearly favors the 360 finally acknowledges and validates that argument. Thanks!
it might be a good movie, sure, but it won't be an Uncharted movie. Not with all the changes and poor casting choices. Which is why its so confusing to even use the license for this film. Its one of the best games this gen but its still a relatively new franchise and lacks the huge following of a gta or resident evil. its easier to market crap to a larger fanbase. but with a film like this you would think the director would want to appeal to the core fans of the source material to help sp...
that's what i think as well. the first screen has to be from the wii. if not then yeesh. the other two look closer to ps3/360 graphics, but still kinda fugly.
a couple things wrong with your reply.
1. it is not a fact that 360 owners by more games. the ps3 attach rate was actually higher this year. google it.
2. EAT SLEEP PLAY is not a publicly traded company, so Jaffe does not answer to shareholders.
Also, you seem to be missing the point. For many developers, the games they make are their art. All they want is for their art to be appreciated. Once that happens they're pretty satisfied. A lot of games suffer cr...
you should play it. i rented it when it first released and its actually a very good game. art is great, gameplay is solid and the story is decent.
that your name is factual evidence but you fly off the handle without reading the article. or so it seems.
from the terms in article:
"All services through the SONY ONLINE SERVICES, are licensed non-exclusively for your personal, private, noncommercial, which are subject to conditions and any addition to the conditions. Services can be used on a limited basis according to the activated systems associated with your account SONY SONY ONLINE SERVICES."

i think it comes down to how you play. based on the stats the guy sent them it seems like he just burnt through the game as fast he could. only 1 pangloss statue found. only 16 friendlies revived out of 300 something killed. that's not how i play games so this will probably take me a couple hours more first playthrough.
Almost any game can be done extremely fast when trying to be quick. Lords of shadow took me about 20 hrs my initial run. My paladin run took only 3 and a half hour...
ahh, you guys took the words out of my mouth. at the very least, this should be posted as an article, not news. Its not news that people are reacting to a game the same way people react to all things ever made.
except oxygen. everybody likes oxygen.
Agreed 100%. despite reviews i still picked this up because i've been waiting so long for this game i just had to. i figured i'd still enjoy it. what i didn't expect was how much i'd love it. It's awesome.
or better yet, maybe we'll get a little remake love similar to the God of War collection. That would definitely be more than enough to tide me over.
Anytime I see a cg only trailer for any game I immediately lose interest, especially when the game is so close to release.
with only the promise of new information later this year, I doubt we'll be lucky enough to get our hands on this in 2010.
This is actually a sequel to one of my all time favorites,
Scream and Scribble.
Seriously though its good to see some games in the pipeline.
I've been waiting over two years to play this and I'm a big fan of Level 5. Dark Cloud 2 was amazing, and I really liked Rogue Galaxy. Despite this review, I'm confident I'll still enjoy this game.
"In this day and age game's narratives aren't on par with films just like sport based games aren't as realistic as the real sport so it is only normal to use a more matured media to state which aspect are being pushed by the devs."
That was well said. Wish I had written it ;)
and i can't speak to whether or not destructoid is a joke, but i do feel their article was a bit misguided. Jim Sterling seemed to be having a knee jerk reaction to promo materials without considering the entire industry.
the alternative source has them. it says 530k.
