A lot of incorrect info:
Remaster is being done by Splash Damage and is already confirmed 1080p 60fps. The game will still use UE3....not UE4. Gears 4, a separate project will utilize UE4.
Sony's greatest rival was, is, and will be Micrisoft. No other company had stayed in the Gane long enough and taken a slice of share like Microsoft has. But the biggest reason why microstructure is their biggest rival is the deep pocketbook.

The problem, I think, had more to do with the hype train Sony was trying to push on us.
After disappointments in gaming this past year like Destiny (grinding/lack of content) to Halo MCC (broken) and AC Unity (buggy), I don't think gamers were going to hitch their wagons to The Order. Yes the graphics look insane, but when gamers asked for substance and as the info came out people didn't want QTEs, linearity, or a short game....gaming is expensive and $60 is a lot of money.
Like everything else related to promises for this new gen....let's wait and see.
I'm tired of lofty promises from both Sony and Microsoft about the offerings of this gen. Let's wait and see.

I thought the same at first (Halo 5, possible Gears collection, Tomb Raider, etc).
However, taking into account that this is from Remedy, it's likely solely on the development dide. They're a really solid, good developer, but they are definitely not fast.

It knocked off Evolve? That game both sips poorly and received is own share of criticism.
Measure success between actual outcome versus expectations. Not sure if it still wood be a "success".
