Obscure - I'm sure Gears 5 will be an enjoyable game, but it is the 5th titl3 in a very successful franchise. So unless The Coalition absolutely shit the bed, it'll be playable at least.

I say all this - but truth be told, SoT looked like a dumpster fire. No matter how much spin came from ms.
SONY had made plays for Insomniac for years, Ted and co declined. Seeing how successful Spider-Man was for the company, coupled with SONY WWS expertise and talent, SONY's willingness to support and let devs make the decisions - probs got the deal done.
As great as Ratchet, Resistance and their sequels - none of their previous titles came close to the success of Spider-Man.
