Killzone Shadowfall was fairly impressive - I couldn't see PS3 pulling that off. Hell even BF4 was a great early PS4 game. Infamous Second Son is another great example of an upgrade over the previous gen.
Don't jump aboard anything if you're happy with the direction ms is headed, show some conviction in your decision making.
No there's not - not 1 first party exclusive from Sony would run on PS3 like it does on PS4. Scaling games down to run on lesser hardware is sort of missing the point. How do expect things to evolve?

Cross gen games are for 3rd party devs, 1st party has to move onto the next console. I'd be wanting that paltry 48 million to upgrade ASAP! xbox consoles aren't exactly flying off the shelves.

Sony has probably put an order in for 50+million for various components - fair discount comes with an order like that.
Sony highlighted the service but didn't make it the pillar of their business. I don't even think it's available in all regions yet.
Sony is VERY happy with software sales, over 1 billion at last count.
It's a different world when we're celebrating services instead of new ips.
