King - You mentioned 2 sequels that have even more iterations on the market and 1 3rd party indie title. The AAA titles also barely made a blip on the gaming landscape - look at their dismal sales.
It's easy for people to forget about them.
I agree with your first comment though, unfortunately I think it is too late for 180's. Next gen is less than a year away, no one cares about Stadia - at least not in any significant numbers.
Chris12 - I don't like them full stop, the way they go about any business they're in relies on one motto - biggest profit, least amount of effort.
I don't like that they don't actually make/create anything, the games you mentioned were acquired through 3rd/2nd party deals.

What have they actually created? What achievement do you think they're most proud of? Are you really happy with their commitment to gaming?

They fumbled the last few years of 360, they fumbled designing the 360, they fumbled revealing the xbox one, they fumbled this whole gen.
They just aren't good at this console thing.
Take the blinders off mate - Sony has destroyed ms this gen. And they'll continue to do so next gen.
The last 7 years has been glorious, fantastic new ips and an amazing reboot of a beloved franchise, and they haven't finished yet. Massive games releasing this year too.

cigi - all the multi-plats too, fair launch line up though. Then there was Infamous: Second Son, BLOODBORNE - PS4 flew out the gate and never looked back.
You sure? PS4 had some great launch titles and went from strength to strength. It's first 2 years were fantastic.
Sure was a perfect time to upgrade from PS3.
Nice one Forbes (never thought I'd say that) - actually reads like a logical, well thought out article. The writer makes valid points, although I would've highlighted in greater detail the absolute demolition job Sony has done on ms worldwide - and that Nintendo has recently outsold them.
That should be the biggest concern for ms, Sony release a console - people lose their mind, Nintendo release a console - people lose their mind, ms release a console - people sort...

ms showed a render of a box, in-engine footage. No price point, no specifics on power, SSD/HDD size, no release date, no game announcements apart from something 'very early in development'.
Then more negativity associated with ms pours out - no exclusives for 1 - 2 yrs. No matter how anyone tries to spin that, there's a fact that can't be denied - NO EXCLUSIVES FOR 1 - 2 yrs.
That will not help sell series x, quite the opposite - huge b...
