When there's no real discernable difference - why wouldn't they buy the cheaper console?
I saw an old bloke the other day asking about a PS4, he asked if it played PS3 games.
The same question will be asked when parents are buying series x.
Gonna be a few disappointed kids come Christmas day.
I don't think series x will sell well. Is that better?
I disregarded most of his post as it's essentially a false narrative. Lies.
And then I made a bullish claim which I think will become a reality.
Keeping up?
You're correct - cross gen games are the domain of 3rd party devs - NOT - console manufacturers. They have to give a legitimate reason to upgrade.
If HALO was a series x exclusive and turns out to be an amazing game - you've got yourself sold out console everywhere.
This is a no brainer.
More than ms that's a certainty.
Talk about shitting the bed and they can't blame Don Mattrick this time haha.
Visuals is one thing - gameplay is another. Remember Shadow of Mordor? No nemesis system on PS3 or 360.
Cross gen titles are the domain of 3rd party publishers - not console manufacturers.
Little Johnny is going to be upset when he asks for a series x and Mum and Dad are told - You can play these games on xbox one - which do you think they'll buy? In some cases the cheaper option - why wouldn't they?
The series x won't outsell PS5.
I'm confident if you take this gens and next gens numbers of xbox consoles sold they won't even surpass PS4 let alone PS5.
PS5 will be the 2nd highest home console sold behind PS2.
I don't think it's confirmed as a launch title. But there is a rumour floating around that it would be shown at the reveal event.
Personally I want another KILLZONE, with badass MP like KZ2.
Just seems too niche - I can't see it gaining traction, 21:9 is more suited to office work or sim set-ups.
5G is just hitting Australia and it's an extra $15 on top of your mobile plan - mine is currently $118 per month for a Samsung S9+.
It's finishing up soon and I'll look at the S20 Ultra but to get it and 5G probably going to be closer to $140 - $150.
Just out of my league I reckon.
How big is the market for 21:9 monitors? Hard enough getting people to upgrade to 4K TV's, something they'll likely use daily.
Doggy - asked a simple question in reply to a snide remark, how's about an answer?
Happy to wait.
Neo - you just explained what a generation is. The previous console can't play the new gen games, doesn't matter that the new console plays old games. The new console marks the start of a new generation.
How's ms market share now compared to 360? They ain't bouncing back, sinking ship will continue to sink.
I am.
They're throwing a hail mary right now, Trojan horse deals for gamepass to get the numbers up - then comes the price increase. By then people are invested with achievements and they'll usually continue.
Still don't think it'll be enough.
darth - no you don't - you've said on numerous occasions you don't buy launch consoles, I'm sure that's what you've said. Maybe I'm imagining things.
Really? One of the most respected, profitable devs suddenly forgets how to make games?
They've been this for 3+ decades, Activision 4+ decades. Where's the accountability?
Stop being an apologist, they don't need it.
darth72 - cut their nose despite their face - ms didn't want to 100million potential customers. Without even looking I'd guess those games sold better on PlayStation 4.
NPW THAT WAS A STUPID MOVE BY ms, pissing off a few websites and customers would've been pittance to the customers they would have gained if they made those titles exclusive.
Kumakai - E3 has some of the lowest patronage out of all the BIG conventions. And EVERYONE wants to try PS5 first hand, just because you can't doesn't make Sony cocky.
Play some series x, most of us won't get a chance to that either. Tell us how it goes.
Rebel - label it all you like (pffft 'cancel culture') only dipshits do that. The fact is - this is a multi-billion dollar company that has released a broken product that wouldn't cost that much to make.
And the downgraded are there for all to see.
Making a difference? Nope just not supporting sub par games - nothing wrong with that.
That's was in reply to ALL PS4 exclusives going to PC. That's not true is it? And to perpetuate that is spreading lies.
You mentioned reading is fundamental.
It must be making sense by now?
