Cancelled my pre order yesterday, MS has shown nothing to warrant a purchase. I already have 1080 SLI watercooled rig and a PS4PRO. I've waited long enough to be given reason to buy an XBOX.
Great tech, great design (finally) but no games of interest. The latest showing of CRACKDOWN 3 was abysmal, Sea Of Theives while looking a fun game - ain't my cupnof tea.
Hope those that purchase it are supported by MS, and not just 3rd party games with a li...

Mandatory 4v4 is a huge downgrade, still had lag, maps are too small, it rewards pack running - wasn't as fun as D1, even with all the problems from D1.
Maybe, just maybe people thought they were going to treat boxes like they did in Destiny. Only for cosmetics. I'm sure if those same people were asked how they feel now that it's revealed they facilitate a pay to win model.
You wouldn't find too many defending it. Having played 2 crucible matches today, it is dire.
@moldy - just for you. Sony hold there bigger 1st party titles back so they're not in direct competition with their 3rd party partners. It benefits both entities.
MS rely on advertising slogans and hyperbole, investing in advertising and misinformation is a bigger priority for them.
serious question - How long does the average game take to develop? You want your 1st party studios optimizing their games to get best out of your system.
I'm happy for MS and Sony to release mid-gen upgrades, but to a point. I think every 3 - 4 yrs is about as quick as we should be getting new consoles. Give developers time with the hardware.

Be $80 or $500, demand drives the market. Kicking my heels through Akihabara and The Switch is genuinely sold out, with little signs begging customers not to even ask about it.
I'll complain until the cows come home, deep pockets, huge reach in software development, they thrive on misdirection, love quoting stats that amount to nothing, always have something that's coming and will blow our minds.
They are just a dishonest company, and they need to go above and beyond to convince a non-beleiver like me.

here we go again, how many PS exclusives have you seen with a noticeable downgrade? If anything they improve until the time of release.
The PC community is so large going off STEAM stats, the problem is no developer wants to miss out on the console money. It would be awesome if a developer made a game that would push the top tier cards to their limit. But how small would their target consumer numbers be?

Just do it - just release it with English subtitles if you don't want to invest in voice acting. It's a no brainer.
