Backwards compatibility was PlayStation initiative originally. It'll be on PS5 now that x86 is the what they are using.
Play anywhere just gives me s reason not to own an Xbox, so I can't see how that helps them.

Jinger - The Sony Hack wasn't a decision that was discussed, debated and ultimately put into practice.
All of Xbox missteps have been conscious decisions by a multi billion dollar corporation.
And not too many of those decisions have been in the gamers best interest.

It's called a diluting your brand. Its will bite them in the long run, it's already hurting them.
MS should treat Xbox like Sony treats PlayStation, they are stripping the brand of its worth.
To address your last point, the title does say 'physical sales' - no mention of digital.
Condemnedman - PlayStation 4/Pro are better supported, throw in PC and you have a great set up.
Xbox/MS are pale imitations of how good gaming companies should operate.
The X is a great bit of kit, it just won't be supported by it's maker.

Fair call mate, I usually build a PC every 3 - 4 Yrs - depending on what card is getting released. It does get expensive.

meka2611 - Sony introduced dual analogue sticks first, the rumble feature was what got them I courts. Achievements, Party features all that was in PC first. The Eyetiy actually released on PS2, way before Kinect was even spoken about. And if you improve on something (move), why wouldn't you release it?
