I'm not buying it for the simple reason, the demo was enough. I did not even finish it. It ran fine and looked ok, but never interested me.
Maybe people are playing other games, either on PS3 or 360 or PC.

I think that game looks awesome.
Graphics are excellent.
Gameplay looks good, but i'll know more when i get my hands on it.
It isn't a console port, DX11 is going to be added.
Textures, lighting, shadows, shading are all higher quality then console versions.

That's on 360, looks like forza colours with even more arcade look.
I've seen it in high def, does look nice.

I did not like the feel of the first game.
I hate the blur-effect of the wheel/dash.
First was 30fps.
Forza3/GT5 are 60fps.
Both could push alot more graphically if both were 30fps.
Big difference.
All good sales.
Kinect for 360 pushed it higher, plus lower price for 4gb models.
Wii is still selling amazing for what it does.
PS3 is doing well also for highest cost.

I've got to partly agree with you on some of the changes.
But i don't think it's as bad as most think.
Speed is there, you do need skill to push through the tracks, but although i welcome change, i played the demo and felt some of the destruction got in the way of a good race, not all though, as sections opened up i enjoyed them.
As it's only a demo, i enjoyed it enough to get it.
