I Re-balled my 60GB launch PS3 and it's been working ever since for the past 9 months without a single fault. Whoever came up with the Heat-gun method is the biggest retard on this planet.
Those who haven't got the YLOD should buy a Japanese 19 bladed PS3 fan, change the thermal paste to AS5 or anything better (Shin-etsu, MX2, Diamond etc) and change the power supply for a 40GB model APS-231 PSU (do this if you have a 60GB or earlier model)

That's because there's nothing to play this gen. The only BIG and new IP's that made a big impact this gen are Uncharted and Gears of War.
Everything else just feels like a snack compared to the hundreds of main courses during the PS2's run.

The PS3 was supposed to have 2 GPU's and 2 Cell Processors but two of them were cut out due to price and some serious heat problems.

The only announcements that would really excite me are gameplay trailers of both Eight Days and Agent. I haven't been blown away by anything for the past 2 years, the only thing that has blown me away is the VGA premier of UC3.
But then I saw actual gameplay and was heavily disappointed.
Why does it look nothing like WarHawk? it doesn't even give me the WarHawk vibe, and the dog fights look really slow.
The graphics aren't that impressive for a game that's been in development for a very long long time, but the again the WarHawk seems to be the only game I've let pass when it comes to graphics.
They have been doing this ever since they release of GTA4, they either tease a new game or don't show up at all.
Personally I think they have nothing prepared and all their current projects are probably going through a million development hurdles which is why as I said they have nothing to show.

If only the actual in-game graphics looked that good. In UC1 the difference between gameplay and cutscenes weren't that noticeable, and in UC2 it was kind of noticeable. But now from a sofas distance away in UC3 it's very noticeable.
I hope everything we've seen so far is pre-alpha footage because so far the in-game graphics look like UC2 and the pre-rendered cutscenes look like what UC3's in-game graphics are supposed to look like.

It's not Epics fault, the PS3 has so many weaknesses in terms of how it's memory's used and the GPU itself isn't as strong as the 360's, and you can't use the SPU's for everything.
To tell you the truth the Cell has the capability of creating a game that looks 100x's better than UC3, but the problem is it's all theoretical power and not practical at all.
