GTA never had any competition. It does what it does exceptionally well, it was baffling to me how much content and freedom is in these games and how they manage to even fund a game like that. But it became clearer to me when I saw sales of gta games. They build succes upon succes, fund an exceptional iteration from the immense succes of the previous ones. Well done.
So what's the old successor?
Everytime something like this happens almost everyone agrees that it's stupid, so obviously there's a small group out there that makes themselves larger than they actually are. Why care for minorities that much, they should be listened to in equal amounts of people they represent.
Oh yes that was definately a cool feature. I really wondered why they didn't bring that back in later souls games.
Enjoy pc players, I had loads of fun with this one. If you've never played a souls game before, definately start with this one though, since later games were aimed to improve upon this. Also, has some neat features you won't see anywhere in the souls series like the weapon upgrade paths :)

Mmm, it doesn't really make sense to me. There's a clear difference to the developer of a game and the actors in the story he produces, same as actors in film. What they depict more then often doesn't resemble the opinions of the development team in any way.
Kind of reminds me of people who get their supposed knowledge of society from watching tv.

That's good if you want to appeal to the mainstream audience, but I hope some day a developer will stand up and release a game in which you cannot reach end-game in a matter of days. I guess games like that aren't all that popular anymore, but...
I'm living day by day, which in this case saves me money. Is there an upside to buying games an putting them on your backlog? I keep thinking: why not buy them when you have time for them, a year after release often results in like 50% off.
Every year a new group of gamers reaches puberty, so I think platform wars are here to stay. Part of life, part of culture.

I think as long as digital games don't share the benefits of physical games it won't fully convert the market. There will always be people who want to exchange games with friends or being able to sell them when they're done playing it. Or both. sell your friends game Kappa.
I think for some kids it's their first introduction to the harsh world out there, imagine being raised in a protective family and never being bullied and then this happens to you.
So you take a break from the game, feel bad for a while, regroup and now you know there's a-holes out there. That's my advice. Good luck!
I think it's courtesy to established culture. I think almost no one would actually be shocked on an individual level if their source of entertainment shoves a dick in their face, it's more of a cultural shock. Ancient civilizations had constant nude entertainment though, so we might see it flourish again in the future.
So I actually watched the video, going past the ridiculous title and I can only conclude the author is speaking from his own insecurity. That's all this is about, and what else could it possibly be? Culture dictates what is socially acceptable and you choose to either submit to it or go your own merry way. Nice. The artwork seems to be a mix of serious (dragon is looking pretty mean, colors used are more realistic tones) with lighthearted (the cartoony pet with wings and happy clappy FF esque outfits). And I totally digg the bird creatures with tridents, i've seen those in several Japanese games, is it part of their folklore? They are awesome :)
