Good luck finding proof that Sony wanted to do it, because they never did. It's just a lie that has been brought up so many times that people have started to believe it at this point.
So they have sold about the same amount of One's as 360's had sold in the same timeframe, and since PS fanboys have been claiming for the past 10 years that at least half of the 360 sales were just RROD replacements MS counted as sales to inflate numbers, this must mean that One is selling double the amount of 360s. Damn! How are you going to spin your way out of this?
You mean the DRM that opened up the possibility of automatically getting digital copies of games with the purchase of a physical copy? The DRM that was going to give Xbox owners the ability to trade or sell not only physical games, but even digital ones? The DRM that was going to open up friend and family sharing of your entire games library including all DLC for up to 10 people for no additional cost?

Literally never happened. A couple of third party devs wanted cross-play in their games and that's it. Sony NEVER approached, invited or even mentioned cross-play to Microsoft at all.
It goes without saying. If you play games on the most anti-consumer company's platform, you're going to have a bad time.
It came back after 5-10 minutes or so, but when it came back the audio was fucked and kept cutting out every second. The YouTube stream was also terrible with low video and audio quality and I often had to refresh the page just to semi-fix the echoing/looping audio. It was an absolute shitshow overall.
MS had the same format as last year and they easily won back then too. They just decided to stick with it as it worked well for them.
Twitch chat was literally spamming and begging them to shut the fuck up with all their smalltalk and continue with the game showcase. The smalltalk dragged on for sooo long.
Lol, Sony is literally the least innovative company currently in the console business and they are limping behind MS in all areas. Their console and entire ecosystem is inferior to the other platforms and they are anti-consumer as hell for no good or logical reason. Sony isn't remotely prepared for a digital streaming future either so unless they start turning things around and invest a hell of a lot money into this field they will be on a good path to suffer the same fate as Blockbuster....
Uhm, what? MS conference was great and have been getting praise globally for how good it was.
Overall this was a awful show. Also Twitch and YouTube had massive audio and video issues half of the time. Use Mixer next year Sony, mkay.

What you should be asking is " if you have a gaming PC, why is Sony still forcing you to buy their crappy hardware to play their games instead of giving you a choice on the matter?"
Xbox is simply the superior console platform and experience so they will always have their place. Sony should just go third party because their console is literally just an extra annoying paywall to get through to be able to play some exclusives that would have run and looked better on other platforms.
Sony never pushed Xbox for cross-play last gen, you guys are just making up bullshit as an excuse. MS had a no cross-play policy last gen but even if they didn't there's no evidence that Sony would have actually wanted to cross-play with Xbox.
