I'm eagerly awaiting the day that it releases, along with subsequent articles about it's sales and the NPD that follows. I can guarantee you that their will be Xbox fans in those articles preaching how "It's the best game EVER made" or "This game will close the gap between the PS4 and Xbox in NA". I'm so confident, I would be willing to bet that YOU, yourself, will also partake in these discussions. You are an admitted Xbox fanboy and avid lover of all thin...
Are you seriously trying to claim that articles specifically titled "Xbox Top Selling Console in Latest NPD" excites Xbox fans purely because sales are good? Nothing to do with outselling PS4 or rubbing PlayStation's fans faces in the mud. Do I seriously need to link you to the April NPD article?
It's Xbox fans last hope for closing the sales gap between the two platforms. Though they claim to not care about sales, anytime Xbox wins a month of sales(so very few of them) they jump and scream about it for days. We'll see how this game does against stiff competition this fall.
@shloobmm3
If I included console exclusives and small indie titles, the list would be even MORE in Sony's favor. I'm talking specifically AAA, high-budget retail games that most of the public knows about. Yes, I do consider Until Dawn a AAA-exlcusive because it is one. The critical and consumer acclaim should speak for itself. You're comparing State of Decay and Screamride, with Ori added to Bloodbourne, MLB: The Show and The Order: 1886. Just like how I see the same peopl...
What 2017 projects do they have slated for that year? You won't be getting Halo, Gears or Fable. Of course you'll have Forza(either FM7 or FH4, maybe both) but outside of that, I don't think I've heard of anything big from them coming that year. Also, I doubt that Xbox is able to out-do itself without Halo or Gears(to a lesser extent) having a presence. Unlike Sony, Microsoft relies heavily on their established franchises to carry their sales, simply because they have fewer of...
Probably going to be the most competitive year(in terms of exclusive quality, not sales) this entire generation. Looking forward to it.
Haven't had an exclusive in over 10 months, and current and last one released are both remakes of old franchises. PlayStation has released 3 new IPs this year alone. Your last new AAA(since that seems to be all that matters to Xbox fanatics) was released almost a year ago. Now tell me how stupid you feel...
The PS3 started outselling the Xbox 360 in terms of worldwide sales, THE MOMENT it was released and it never relinquished that. It's the very reason that the 360 was surpassed by it. The PS4 is also currently more expensive than the Xbox One and, just like the 360, is being outsold regardless(both WW and in NA). So long as both companies release consoles, the Xbox will NEVER be able to dethrone Sony as the most beloved platform world-wide. No matter how good their console is, and the Xbox...
Absolutely..if Halo can't make a dent, then nothing will. And to be honest, they chose the wrong time to release this game, because COD and BF are going to cannibalize both the airwaves(TV advertising) and a huge chunk of Halo's potential sales. Any thought of Halo doing numbers like Halo 3(which a lot of it's fans seem to think it will despite looking at Halo 4 YTD sales) need to be forgotten.
Just speaking in terms of assets, Microsoft could come out with the more capable console, but that was true last generation and the consoles where if anything equal or in favor of the PS3. This is evident when you look at the visual aspects of each publisher's respective exclusives and compare them against each other. I don't think too many people(outside of diehard Xbox fans) would argue that PlayStation had the best looking exclusives(and by far the most) last generation in the yea...
Tired old rebuttal still holds no weight, as the fact still remains that even without the additional countries, it's still being outsold in the markets that Xbox is present in. You can keep deluding yourself into thinking that if the markets where even that the Xbox would have a fighting chance but it wouldn't. It's why they they failed to launch in those countries, because just like Japan, India, Germany and the entirety of the South Americas, they know those areas could give two...
Let us all know when a Forza manages to do 1/2 of a typical GT game.
Thank you for mentioning Puppeteer. That is literally one of the most creative games probably ever made. Such a shame that it came out so late in the generation. I truly hope that both it and Ni No Kuni(another late PS3 release) see sequels on the PS4.
It's a masterpiece already? Wow, can you post some of your gameplay on Youtube so that I can watch? Also, if Uncharted is a tired old franchise, then what are your thoughts on the 4th Gears game, 5 Halo game and 8th Forza game?
Please, respond quickly.
That's concerning to say the least. Sounds as if he didn't want this to be exclusive at all and had some strict criteria for whomever chose to partner with him for the game. Drastically different situation than what I first assumed it was :/
FF7 Remake announcement videos have millions of views of Youtube and made several people cry. BC announcement is quickly fading from most people's minds. Which was do you think was the most exciting? A game that's been called for by it's fans for almost 2 decades or a feature that it 2 years too late and will likely be used less and less as this generation continues to gain momentum and leave last geneation games and their consoles in the dust.
Stop being a fanboy...
You know your GAME CONFERENCE wasn't that great when the best things your fans can point out is backwards compatibility. Btw, how are you enjoying that gameplay footage of Recore and Sea of Thieves? Haha
If that was gameplay, then EVERYTHING shown at E3 was gameplay.
Though this article is primarily sensationalist BS, I would have been fine if it had stuck with the premise that BC by itself was a blow to Sony. I've seen plenty of people say that. But when it says this..
"The Xbox 360 back catalog is huge and to be honest, it kind of owned the PS3 last generation."
There's really no need to read any further.
You're delusional if you think the Xbox is doing 6 million+ in a little over two months. It'd be lucky to sale that for it's lifetime sales. I don't know if you've noticed, but no Halo game has had even close to the success of Halo 3(which you must be thinking of to make a statement as ludicrous as that). To sale those numbers, the Xbox would need an attachment rate of over 40% this holiday. Any person who wanted an Xbox for Halo would have bought one last year, especially...
