Three disagrees and no one stating why? Was anything in my post really false? At least tell me why you think the Wii deservers GTA 4, because I really would like to know.
So glad to see my fellow gamers having the same view as I do about the Wii. A game like this should never be on the Wii. It is a technological masterpiece and as stated in some of the other comments, it pushes the boundaries of true gaming. The Wii is great for casual and party games but should never be compared to the greatness of the PS3/360. Wii owners knew what they were getting when they bought the Wii. Also, I don't know of many real gamers that own just a Wii. They usually own a 360/Wi...
Because us Sony fans have heard it up till now with "360 version is better" everytime there was a major release for both systems. Now the shoe is on the other foot.
I love my PS3. :) So glad its better on PS3, even if it is the most minor of differences. Lets just hope the online for PS3 is stable. Tekken 5: DR is a nightmare.
While I honestly don't know if the PS3 will pass or match the PS2, especially since the PS2 is still selling well, I do believe it will at least sell 100 million consoles over its lifetime. I find it funny that some people believe the PS3 won't even do 60 million. Newsflash, it sells about 11 million a year. 11 mil x 6 = 66 + the 12 million already out there. Thats 78 million at least 6 years from now. I do believe that sales will pick up. A price drop + more great games = better sales.
Its going to change soon. With the release of GTA4, Wii should be on the bottom again. Not to mention they get a freebie with Wii Sports since its bundled. We should do a "real games" attach rate and see how the Wii does then.
This is very disappointing. Any of you guys who know my posts, know that I am the biggest PS3 fanboy on here. But i've been buying all these PS3 games over the 360 version to get trophies and HOME unlockables. But what is the point? I'm afraid i'm gonna have to start getting the 360 version of multi plat games. I know you will say "be patient", but how long do we have to wait? First October 2007, then Spring 2008, now Fall? Sony has been doing so well in making a comeback and giving...
360 is still losing more money than PS3 thanks to the RRod. MS had to take out a multi billion dollar warranty to cover the costs. Please stop making stuff up.
So you are saying RRoD, disc scratching and Pay to play are false? Even when the facts prove otherwise? We do not spread fear or any such nonsense. 360 isn't going anywhere but neither is the PS3. Blu Ray is the first victory for Sony, more to come...
Yep I study charts all the time. Casual and 1st party titles rule the charts. Typical of Nintendo sytems.
I'm just saying, that MS is selling more software all around. Nintendo is only selling 1st party. Which is typical of ANY Nintendo system. And I believe it will stay this way.
K, just to prove to you that 360 is selling more per week, here is the list of last weeks top 20 games. The 360 has 7 games in the top 20, Wii has 6. Of the 6 Wii games, 5 are 1st party. Care to tell me that 360 isn't selling more 3rd party games again?
Top 20 for this week:
1)Smash - Wii
2)Wii Sports - Wii
3)Cod4 - 360
4)Wii Play - Wii
5)Vegas 2 - 360
6)Crisis Core - PSP
7)Army of Two - 360
8)More Brain Training - DS
Exactly what i'm saying. 1st party games sell great as with any Nintendo system, but 3rd party games are lacking in relation to PS3 and 360 and will most likely always be like that.
Think about the install base though, Wii has almost 24 million consoles in homes. 360 is 18 million and still gives the Wii a run for its money in software. The best selling Wii games are also casual games, aside from the 1st party games. Taken in context, the 360 sells a broader range of games than the Wii, and the Wii has a bigger install base.
This is normal. It has been stated many times by many different sources, the most recent being the Epic president that the Wii is selling because of curiosity. Once a person buys it, they usually find that it gets boring after a little while. I know that I haven't touched my Wii since Brawl came out. Most gamers will go to the 360/PS3 to get their gaming fix. Its the casual market who is buying the Wii, and they really aren't big game buyers.
haha, this post made my day. There is NO WAY in a blue moon that the Wii can even come close to the worst looking game on the PS3. The gpu's are so drastically different. Not to mention the ram and cpu. I can't wait to see this game so I can laugh at it.
Wow another perfect score. One magazine said it wanted to give it a 12/10. We could be looking at the best game ever created. Makes me feel better because I have to buy 2 versions of the game. The 360 version to play with my brother and for DLC, and the PS3 version because I would feel like a traitor getting it for 360 over my PS3.
And to everyone who says "PS2 was underpowered" compared to the other 2 of its generation. This is used out of context. Out of the 3 last gen systems it was in terms of power:
Xbox
Gamecube
PS2
Yes, the PS2 was the least powerful of the three, but it was still close in technology to the other two. Games only looked slightly better on Xbox over the PS2 version.
This generation the PS3 and 360 are very close in power but the ...
THANK YOU EPIC! More developers need to be like them. I was just in a fuss about the 360 version of UT3 being superior over the PS3 version, but this statement has mended all those wounds. As i've stated from day 1, i've felt the Wii was going backwards in technology. I never thought it mattered too much until Monster Hunter 3 was taken from PS3 to go to the Wii. This stung me a lot because this was one of the games I wanted to see in next gen graphics. Until this day, I didn't believe the Wi...
Like Sony said, its a long distance marathon, not a sprint. Wii is kicking butt in sales and no one can deny that, but once PS3 gets more of its 2008 lineup out and a lower price, we could see some closer numbers. The PSP is destroying the DS in Japan, but still getting outsold everywhere else. Its a shame, but I wish PSP could pull ahead.
Here's hoping the PS3 and PSP dominate from 2009 and beyond.
