I'm confident it can as well. I believe it is the superior hardware of this generation. Only difficult market will be the US. 360 has a big lead still. Everywhere else though, PS3 is overtaking it by the end of the year. Go PS3!
Don't forget about the small minority of people who bought both versions like me. I had to buy the 360 one to play with my brother online because he has a 360, but I bought a PS3 special edition because I wanted to play the superior version completely through. Screw achievements, they just make me angry because I am a perfectionist. I will probably check out the DLC for 360, but I will definitely get it for PS3. At the end of the day, PS3 will sell more copies of GTA4.

Finally! Been waiting for someone to review the game with a low score just to get themselves attention. Congrats on being the first HornyMelon. Up until this day, i've never heard nor cared about your site. Enjoy the spotlight. We all know that GTA4 is easily a 10. Nice try.
Every game would be better if it were PS3 exclusive. Not just because it would be on PS3 only, but because you can get so much more out of the PS3.
I am confused by their logic. PS3 is beating 360 in every single market from this point on. You would get so much more out of developing for just the PS3. Its also easier to port from PS3 to 360 if need be. The only way this makes sense is by the current console numbers. The 360 still has a 7 million unit lead on the PS3. It would make sense as of right now to focus on just 360. But in a year, things will be different. I hope Valve is planning for this, or they might go bankrupt.
No bugs in my PS3 version and I get superior graphics. Stop making stuff up. Just because this guy couldn't beat the mission doesn't mean the rest of us can't. I still stand by the PS3 version being superior. Also, the home content should be awesome when its released.
Nice sarcasm. But funny. :)
Its a smart tactic. And we've known Nintendo was holding back Wii's since a few months after launch. Its working beautifully and making everyone think its the hottest item ever made, when in reality its a gamecube 1.5 with worse graphics than some ps2 games. And its selling point, the motion control, is hardly even used in the biggest Nintendo games. Nintendo was tired of losing, so they used some smarts and basic economics to create a false supply issue, and a year later, they are sitting in...
PS3 is for the serious gamer. The one who actually plays games as a hobby and not a pastime. I hate when I see Wii vs PS3 topics. Its so pointless. The PS3 beats the Wii in everything except price and casual games. For me and any other hardcore gamers, the choice is easy. PS3.
I agree, OOT should not be #1. If any N64 game should be #1, it should be Mario 64. For its time, that was the best game i've ever played.
GTA4 is the best game ever created. I could never stomach my way through OOT. I was never really a Zelda fan. My favorite game of all time until GTA4 was FF7. But, finally justice is served and the PS3 version of GTA4 has overtaken OOT as the best game of all time. It is deserved. I haven't stopped playing GTA4 since launch.
I wish that PS3 would catch up to Wii and even pass it thanks to GTA4, but it probably won't happen. It seems that this generation prefers quantity and casual games over quality ones. Its fine though, i'm glad to be a PS3 fan and support the best system this generation.
PS3 version looks better. Its been proven by many big name reviewers and even the people who found out that the PS3 runs at 640p:
"Many Beyond 3D users note that in spite of the lesser resolution, the superior effects of the PS3 version gives it the visual edge: "the PS3 version looks nicer IMO. Everything just blends in nicely and makes a seamless contrast between front objects and background objects," noted forum user Nebula."

What is proven by this is that even at a lower resolution, a game can look better than 720p. The PS3 version looks better even at a lower resolution. Here is the quote from the forum that discovered the PS3 version runs at 640p:
"Many Beyond 3D users note that in spite of the lesser resolution, the superior effects of the PS3 version gives it the visual edge: "the PS3 version looks nicer IMO. Everything just blends in nicely and makes a seamless contrast between front...
The guy who was streaming GTA4 before its release on the Internet had his 360 RRoD on him live for everyone to see. You are right though. It happens so much, that it is no longer newsworthy.
Wow, you really tried to make it sound like the PS3 version is crap. Whats the point when all reviewers say the PS3 version is better? Are we supposed to believe you over them? I've seen both versions for myself on my same TV. PS3 looks better. To each his own, but i'm sticking with my PS3. The fact that my Elite could break at any moment has me bummed out.
I get disconnected a lot playing on Live and other people who were in my rooms had the same issues. Live works good but still has issues. This game is huge, and for it to be perfect on launch would take a miracle.
PS3 version looks better. I have both and tested it on the same tv. As far as online, I just got my PS3 version today but I played online with my 360 version for 7 hours last night. It didn't work flawlessly but was good. Both my brother and I got disconnected every 3 out of 5 matches when playing cops and crooks. So while at least live is working for the most part, it isn't as great as you say.
As of right now, the PS3 version is SUPERIOR(The online is having a few hiccups, bu...
I got my 360 version last night at a midnight launch and played it for 7 hours straight online with only a few minor gripes. I would constantly get disconnected from some rooms, but after a few retries, I would finally get a match. No lag, and insanely fun.
This morning I got my PS3 special edition. Took about 7-8 minutes to install, then I was up and running. No freezing and it looks slightly better on my PS3 on the same TV. (I thoroughly tested it to make sure). Haven't gotte...
Lol casual and hardcore? Best recheck the statement.
