are good games. Infact they're the best of their genre thig year, I can't name a better hack and slash, platforming game, and kareoke game this year, for him to label them as bad just points out the bias in his words.
And he neglects to mention console exclusives such as Left 4 dead.

Not at all Loco. However because the game sold so much you make more valid assumptions, such as "It's more popular" or "it has more name recognition" or even stretch it to "more people like it" however you can't argue the game is better or worse based on those.
Whether or not you like a game is subjective.
For example I hated most ps3 exclusive that came out, cept for a couple psn titles, but loved nearly every 360 exclusive. So you're can't claim that the ps3 had a better "gaming" year using a subjective point. I too have both systems, but it's a matter of tastes and I couldn't argue that either console did better. Is that the other articel was just a director at MGS, he wasn't even a spokeperson, and only said what he said from personal opinion.
I'm sure MS has a lot more titles in development too, but unlike sony they tend to hold back info until a somewhat reliable released date is set. Just look at other 360 announcements and you'll see they have a teaser 1 year in advance then about 6 months prior is an official announcement. (banjo, halo, etc). Not to mention studios like "smith and tinker" have already liscensed the wiesman games from MS.

I agree, but I usually get naughty dog mixed into the group, just because I can't really remember which dev team made which game. They all seem to blend together, nothing from either of them stand out from the crowd.
But it still has relevence, and considering the date I'm sure that the costs have come down considerably, by now it may be true that they make a profit on systems (particularly the more expensive units).

I'm stoked to go snowboarding this season, it's been uncomfortably warm here in alberta and I can't wait to hit the slopes.
WoW does deserve a spot, by being the most popular mmorpg, so does ultima online for being the first(ish), fallout and morrowind (or some other elderscrolls game) should have also been noted.
They should also include the legend of dragoon saga into the mix. Otherwise a pretty good list, but just a bit too jrpg heavy (specifically FF).
