It got outsold by over 700,000 by its HD rival. How is it keeping up. It sold less than last year in Nov and Dec. It has no exclusive games in the NPD chart, Dec wise or for the whole year.

Who care about games coming 9 - 10 months from now. I will be enjoying FEAR 2, SF4, RE5, Ninja Blade, Star Ocean 4, Halo Wars and new DLCs from GTA4, Fallout 3, and Fable 2 while the PS3 fanboys get their Killzone 2 and wait till the end of the year for their wet dream games. Remember, 99% of all games are multiplatform, so as long as the 360 has games coming I really don't care about the suppose superior PS3 2009 lineup.
Even Halo Wars have coop, what the heck is Sony thinking releasing their Halo Killer without a coop of any sort. L4D, Gears 2, COD WAW, Halo 3, Resistance 2 have it, WTF? I was looking to add a PS3 game for my Q1 gaming purchase, but I will get F.E.A.R 2 instead because it has co op.

A 8 million lead is TOO much to overcome. I like to see the PS3 N4G PS3 fanboys go into SDF mode when Halo Wars sell 1 million in Feb and KZ2 sells like 500,000 in NA. The posts that follow will be epic.
Seriously, Killzone 2 will do nothing foe Sony. 360 will still outsell PS3 in Feb and in March, they'll have Halo Wars. What does Sony have in March to compete with a new Halo game? Nothing.
I like Microsoft Strategy, release 3 exclusives in Feb (Star Ocean 4, Ninja Blade, and GTA4 DLC) to combat Killzone and let Halo Wars take care of March. Microsoft won 1st quarter already. Also, RE5 and SF4 will no doubt sell more on 360.
First of all games are meant to be fun. L4D is one of the best game of the year and the most fun. Its graphics is OK and look good enough to me. A game like Resitance also have avg. graphics but the AI and fun factor is no where close to L4D.
Sega Saturn was suppose to have destroy the PS1 back in the days but with a higher priced, less games and less marketing, and a lesser user base, a great first party can only take you so far.

The x360 will sell way more softwares than the PS3 as always. You know all third party games sell twice as much on 360. In 2009, PS3 probably have a slight advantage in exclusives, but in 2010, x360 will have Gears of War 2 and Halo 4 out. What PS3 have to counter these 2 behemoths?
Sony Fanboys really need to quit with these "because it is on PC, it is not exclusive" BS. You know L4D on 360 is currently outselling Resistance 2 on PS3 in NA, right? It is so sad that PS3 owners don't even support their own exclusive IPs and while celebrating for the last 3 years that they have better games. Fanboys are loosers, plain and simple.
SONY fans should just swallow their pride and get a 360 and L4D already. It is the funnest game you'll ever play this year. Or if you have a powerful enough PC, get it for the PC. Now back to more Zombie shooting!
Sony shot themselves on the foot by pricing the PS3 at $399.99. With the current recession, it doesn't matter if SONY releases all their Triple AAA games all at once next month, people just can't aford it with the current economic situation.

And you will find in most if not all their stores has just one tiny section for PS3 games in the back like the seafood section in a supermarket. Xbox 360 and Wii took up like 2 - 3 sections a piece. PS3 is last on the pecking order.

You know LBP was bundled everywhere since like 3 weeks ago in EU, that is why the numbers are so high. Also, it is also discounted in most places in the UK for like 16 quid which is about $30.00.

L4D is like crack. It is the most fun i have since playing Golden Eye 4 way Split Screens.
That is why it is number one for me.
Games like LBP don't do much for me. Traded in after one week.
The PS3 worshippers keep saying that 2008 was the year of the PS3 because of its superior exclusives.
But Gears 2, Fable 2, L4D, totally destroyed the PS3 trio of R2, LBP, and Motorstorm 2 in sales. MGS4 was a big success but don't forget it had a bundle to help with the sales.
All major Third party games like COD WAW and Fallout 3 totally crushed the PS3 version in term of sales.
So here we go again in 2009 (the year of th PS3) again. :/
