I got a 80gb PS3. I love watching Blu Ray movies with the ocasional 1-3 blockbuster games I buy each year for it. It is a great system but I wouldn't want to play it after newer and better systems are out.
Last year I got MGS4, Valkyria Chronoicles, and Dead Space.
This year will probably be KZ2, Infamous, and Uncharted ...
