You would be a fool to think that PSVR wasn't in development or even considered when the specs of PS4 were being discussed at Sony's roundtable.
Sony even said themselves that the Pro went into development right after the regular model was launched.
Sony purposely sold an underpowered machine in hopes of bringing out a mid upgrade machine a few years later. Trying to get as much money out of you as possible.
In fact even more mo...
I have no problem with options. But I would like those options a bit more meaningful for my dollar.
Mid gen upgrades are fine but if that upgrade is minimal then what is the point? And if that upgrade is the only way to see the potential of a separate device then I have to start questioning the intentions of this company and how they are trying to squeeze dollars out of me.
The sparse line up from Sony is even more worrisome, especially coming from Sony's own executive mouth piece. I guess you could include the underpowered VR and demo games to that list to bolster it.
Or the many paid timed exclusives that Sony seems to be fond of doing this gen. I think Sony should first focus on actually delivering one title on time this gen instead of spreading themselves so thin with a low powered VR headset and a semi premium device that hardly does ...
Astroneer showed actual gameplay, NMS showes cgi trickery. Nobody is comparing the two.
Damn, it's already looking bleak for Scorpio with devs worrying about parity from the Pro.
I hope devs make the scorpio the lead platform and then work their way down to fit the PSpro.
This must be that variety I keep reading about.
As a few people called out, you want to get the better experience with PSVR you need to have the pro. And this is why Sony pushed out a semi mid upgrade console in the middle of their cycle.
Real scummy if you think about it. Giving users a low grade VR headset that has blur jaggies, and motion issues for the regular ps4. Sony wants their users to upgrade, drop an extra 400 dollars to get the real VR experience.
It's just half assed attempts all aroun...
As obsessed as you defending that corpse rotting on the ground, right?
Thanks for listing three uninteresting and garbage games and proving my points.
If you enjoy bug eyed, little girls with huge boobs, showing off their panties and screaming their attack before every move against a tenticle monster then the Vita is definitely alive and well.
But if you're looking for interesting, engaging games from well known developers than it has been dead for a long time.
Here's hoping the PSVR doesn't go that same route especially knowing how bad Sony supports their peripherals.
Let's just hope the PS4pro doesn't gimp the Scorpio version.
This game is excellent and I hope Respawn tries their hand again with a third sequel.
Sony fans have been saying for a long time that they don't want BC, even though they love remasters. Sony has told them that BC isn't necessary so this is why you see them saying it and telling others to keep their old systems. As if that was some great option to have. I am sure if Sony ever does include BC for any future system it will then be the bees knees, like upscaling, oops i meant checkerboard rendering.
@moldybread
Bu bu bu bu but PSnow isn't BC!!!
Naming jrpgs doesnt make them good.
Thanks for proving that there hasn't been any good jrpg games this gen..
Yea, I would like to know too. But judging by the non response this silly gamear doesn't know either.
As usual, instead of adressing the actual problem let's blame the xbots!
As Vega said this game wasn't even exclusive it was on the PC. And instead of Hello Games actually making the game's UI more fluid for PC they instead lazily ported over NMS to the PC with all the UI flaws and crashes from the PS4.
Let's not address that though, it was the xbots that are being unreasonable. This only proves that as long as a game is at least associate...
There hasn't been a good jrpg for these consoles yet. Really disappointing that you have to rely on portables and mobile for any decent jrpg fix.
I agree, sony should give that to all ps4 owners who supported them and made the console a success. Not just the ones who went out and spent an extra 400 dollars for the mid gen semi upgrade.
Funny thing is the money they are giving back is more than likely the increase in PSN.
Hard to be future proof when your network is ancient.
