Xbox 360 had the indie channel which supported anyone who wanted to make a game and submit it to the console. They had a low develop entry fee ($100 I believe) and even gave you the tools to make whatever (XNA). The whole channel was supported and ran by it's own community.
Also Xbox 360 used to regularly have a Kotaku best of Indie Games. Where they would pick their favorite game from the indie channel and feature it.
Not to mention 360 also had a simil...
Definite MS.
They were on board with 360 and they are on board with the One.
Sony seems to just be capitalizing on the recent "indie" buzz train.
Agreed
Seems reasonable. I'm sure there will be content enough to hold any Xbox One owner over until the "indie" buzz train comes rolling in.
There really needs to be a part two to this game.
Maybe Two Human?
Anyways, this game got a lot of slack and you can see what they wanted to do or was going for. With the kinks worked out and design more clear this game has the potential to be great.
Ha! I remember kevin butler, they should bring him back for the PS4. Maybe a "no hard feelings" commercial campaign from him being sued by Sony.
Another great exclusive game coming to 360 and the One.
Another great game for the 360. Will definitely try this out.
I'm sure if we looked at the ingredients or saw the conditions of food factories for most of the foods we eat, we would fall to our knees in disgust.
This is one of the only times where ignorance is bliss.
I'm going to go with Hotline: Miami
Simple, and yet very addictive. The graphics were 16 bit quality but the story and narrative came across perfect. These types of games just show you don't need dazzling graphics to be a superb game. Plus the music was great.
Loved the movie Drive and this game is definitely a homage to it.
Taco Bell is delicious! You cannot beat a steak mexi-melt with extra cheese! Not to mention a Taco Bell with a KFC combo! that is late night after club goodness right there.
This would be the only way I would get a PS4.
Good promotion Sony!
This game is bat-sh*t insane. Love Twisted Pixel, these guys need to get handed the Conker keys and make a game with that guy.
Because it adds to the game, have you read how Kinect will be used for D4? It's something different that adds more immersion or a different style of gameplay.
Why use the touchpad for the Vita? Why use the touchpad for the DS4?
Because these are put there for the developer to be more creative if they want to. This adds to any and all creativeness.
It is there for developers to use and THAT is what is most important.
Edit...
"You realize that no gaming device has an install base when it first launches, don't you?"
I do realize this and so do developers and this is why you didn't see a huge influx of games for the Vita when it first launched. You had a few new games but most were re-hashes or ports.
"That doesn't stop developers and publishers from wanting to put games on them when they release, though, does it?"
And yes it does, t...
"It is always what M$ says! I am yet to hear massive outcry of approval from Indies and Dev's waxing lyrical about the xbone!"
That's because the babies cry loudest. And yet all you hear are the same indies who bash the Xbox One over and over again. So the perception get's paraded here by the sony fanboys on N4G.
But one look at the indie channel and XBLA and you'll see indies to this day still supporting 360 with a lot of games.
"When have MS ever created an exclusive that pushes their hardware?"
Spoken like a true person who has never owned a 360. How about you play Gears 1 and compare that to 2 or even 3 to answer your own question.
How about halo 3 and 4...
How about any original game to it's sequel then come back.
Amazing how graphics is the ONLY thing that matters to some people (sony fanboys). What happened to gameplay, design, fu...
This game is shaping out to be a beast! I love the dynamic music when an opponent's health gets low or you have a super combo going. Really adds to the epicness.
And to think earlier we had nothing but naysayers basing this game off of the company only. A lot of those naysayers don't even post on this site...hmmmm... I wonder why....
All good, I'm really digging this game. I really hope this new team can keep the greatness that was the first two while adding something interesting and fresh.
Funny how Sony fanboys have selected memories when it comes to their system of choice. Remember Sony telling people to get two jobs for a PS3! How about them showing CGI footage of Killzone for the Ps2.
You know instead of attacking everything MS or Xbox related and why don't you go into every Sony article and talk about what a wonderful system it is. Or is your sole purpose to only acknowledge the negative of only one system?
Others see you for the asini...
All signs point to "yes".
