Less options... higher prices? That's the rule. Well, less systems to test drivers on, too, so it can be easier to develop controllers for new NVIDIA cards. But AMD have everything on their side this generation: eficiency, partners, technology, momentum... and AMD AM5 platform with AMD Advantage 2.0.
So... I will have to maintain older system near... well... I think they would have invested on this, but it must be expensive with no cameras on the TV side.
Wow!
Well... you can play the same games at the same quality level on PS5 with and without optical drive.
It is different with Xbox Series, as both consoles offer a more different experience, more in the line of different generations (compare Xbox Series S and Xbox One X, so you can feel it like it really is).
Not really. Microsoft plan is working flawlessly. They use cheaper and easier to manufacture APUs and hardware on Xbox Series S, so they can manufacture a lot more units than Sony. Xbox Series X is also widely available here since months ago. Microsoft has no problems with manufacturing or availability because of their intelligent strategy: two models, one with high end latest hardware and one with far easier to manufacture components.
New design is doing it... but there are not enough PS5 units available yet here. I hope they get the numbers from manufacturing before Christmas or this will be another year of resellers and scammers.
Hope best for their family and friends, also for Halo franchise.
Not needed, for the moment, as this shows. There are not enought PS5 on sale to feed the market yet... only better manufacturing can solve the problem. A new model can bring more costs and some confussion with consumers. Don't you think?
AMD makes the magic... waiting for Xbox Series X to get new chips too.
Xbox consoles are not the business... it is Game Pass. It is Game Pass what will r ais prices.
Microsoft has donde it before (Windows Phone, Zune, Mixer and counting).
Game Pass, PSPlus... Steam, Windows, DOS, emulators... cathaloge is not the weak point of Steam VR. It is price, size, weight, autonomy, power... well, nothing time can't fix.
Love it... future Steam Deck can be a game changer... I dream of a Steam Deck with full VR capabilities.
It is incredible how it runs on a Radeon RX 6600... If those cards were in the sub 150$ price range, instead of sub 250$ right now, it'd be a gift playing on low end PCs. Maybe with next Ryzen 7000 with integrated RDNA 2 graphics we can have sub 500$ FRS 4K@60p gaming PCs in 2023. Maybe... laptops maybe desktops... but cheap gaming PCs again...
I Love it... I love Alyx... I can't wait for more Valve AAA VR releases.
Totally true.
Yes.
Someone is giving a taste of their own medicine?
In the cloud we believe.
Intel are crap on drivers... but AMD is a different history now. I have only seen problems with faulty motherboards or bad Windows installation, no problems on AMD side. It is performance what must AMD work on, like what they have done with Linux drivers and FSR. Something has changed in AMD and... I really like it.
