Anyone know how the FPS mode works? Is it a simple button press quick toggle or something you have to go set in game settings or something?
I would bet something plugs into the controller that sends a wireless signal to the headphones. My fav headphones of last Gen were the tritton warheads, the dual rechargeable batteries was great and these X500 are going to suffer for not adopting that system.
Honestly all I want is a little wireless earpiece like the old x360 official wireless headset since I run a 7.1 sound system, and none of these headphones can compete with that.
This game already wins best multiplayer FPS of the generation, I'd bet every penny I have that there won't be a better experience.
Yeah it would be a bummer but honestly I wouldn't care that much, worst case scenario is I am playing MCC less than a week from right now lol, nothing can hold this juggernaught down. See you boys on the battlefields of all 5 games.

Yes. I suppose I could count H:CE, H:CE A, H2, H2 A, H3, H4, H5 Beta, for 7 if you wanted to go to that extreme. Oh yeah and throw in a free premium miniseries to boot lol.
It is Halo. It continually tends to hold up against the test of time. I love Goldeneye/Half-Life, and all the other ones but Goldeneye chugs along at such a slow frame rate, Half-Life is now just boring... don't get me wrong those games were fantastic at the time and I'll always love them but Halo is the game that is still every bit as good today as it was 13 years ago. No other FPS does that.
Don't know if you need to reach a turning point when you are already the definitive "next-gen" console. Features galore, significant monthly upgrades and the best franchises already cement this console as one of the best ever released. Yeah somewhere along the way wireless started to mean 1 wire to the controller. Moreover true 7.1 can't be carried over an optical cable. A real 7.1 surround system is still the best option for the absolute best audio experience. All these headphones are way overpriced too.
Yeah this is the CoD that ushers in a new age for me. Always bought the new CoD, now, I'll pick them up a year after release for cheap to play the campaigns. 1 studio, 3 years. Not 3 studios, every year. Shame on you CoD for the most intense over-saturation of a franchise ever.

For those comparing it below, remember TLoU Remastered is one game, one engine. The Master Chief collection spans 5 games (H1-5) and 7 engines (H1-5 + H1-2 Anniversary) Simply an incredible remaster that really puts TLoU Remastered efforts to shame, especially since all 5 games are individually better than TLoU.

Very nice, I'm gonna get on the PC cause I'm not paying for PS- (minus of course for the constant service outages) and I would much rather play with my X1 or 360 controller. Gonna teach those keyboard/mouse users a lesson in superior input devices.
Hope this game is great, realistic/tactical shooters are all most non-existent anymore, anyone know if this will have a campaign or is it an online only multiplayer game?
Knew this game was going to either be great or a flop. Flop confirmed. On the bright side, just saved myself $60 this month, and able to relocate 15 or so gaming hours elsewhere.
I don't know about frustrating, it was for the first hour, but at this point I am way over powered and easily win every battle. Go play Ninja Gaiden 2 on Mentor/Master and then tell me this is a frustrating/challenging action game.
Pretty sure Sunset Overdrive will beat it out. It'll be in competition with Alien and Evil Within though. Sunset Overdrive will appeal to a wider audience and I bet scores high 8 / low 9, and we will see these other 3 games somewhere in the 7 or 8 range.
I think it's more fair and will be more interesting how it fairs against Forza Horizon 2's metacritic of 86. They are both racers only releasing about a week apart and that's a more fair comparison
It's FarCry, it's going to play like FarCry, and I guarantee 5 isn't going to be much different. Still looks fun to me, glad to see the mortar back, I hope it has a nice targeting system this time around. Was too hard to use effectively in FC2.
The higher the better but really for me as long as it isn't hindering my game play I don't really care. 60 is great but 30 is fine. I get like 150FPS in StarCraft 2 lol and I can tell you it doesn't make it any better than the 30-40FPS I used to get out of it on my previous gaming PC.

Perfect scores were guaranteed for this package, one of the best games ever released by far. Should be getting 11/10.
