Super easy explanation, go look at the system requirements for most PC games, and you'll find a version of Windows as a requirement to play the game. The world of PC gaming and Xbox gaming are dominated by Microsoft by a landslide.

A few more consoles sold, sure. What is more important is PS2 had 150M+ consoles sold. Xbox had 24M.
PS3 only had a little over 50% of its previous generation right around 80M. The 360 more than tripled it's previous versions sales jumping right up around 80M as well. No way to swing those figures, Xbox clearly won that generation, it stole a ton of marketshare.

naw I'm not sure why everyone seems to be making new cover art for this game. For one, digital is the best way to go and cover art is pointless - and two, the cover is fine the way it is, none of these people have made a better cover.

Man you people are way to sensitive. MGS4 did 4.3M in sales, that is like 1/20th of the PS3 install base, not to mention all the gamers who didn't own a PS3, gaming on Wii, 360 and PC. What I meant is that it should happen at 12AM GMT, so the east coast would get to play at like 7PM on 8/31. Honestly in the digital age they should just release when the game goes gold, no good reason to make people wait. I've had MGS5 installed on my Xbox One for 2 weeks now, could have been done with the game by now.
They need to follow Witcher 3 and do simultaneous world wide release, as should every game. If people are playing, everyone should be playing regardless of time zone. Was playing Witcher several hours earlier then I get to play every other game release, which was very cool.
Plenty of people are not interested in MGS, stealth just isn't for them. The truth is there are more people who don't play MGS compared to the people who do. Mad max has wider appeal and plenty of people can just buy both if they see fit. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see mad max out sell MGS.

Never found a 3rd party controller that felt as good as first party ones, I'll be getting the elite, though I appreciate this one as well. Had they launched it before the elite was ever announced I would have tried it for sure. I also liked the aerodynamics animation, like that is an important factor you need to consider in buying a controller lol
Behind only in sales. I use my PS4 only for playing PlayStation exclusives, 100% of all other TV related entertainment is handled via Xbox One. Article is completely off base, it leads the PS4 in most categories.
