i use a hauppage HD pvr :) cost me like £150 but the quality is really good.. captures upto 1080i and also upto 60fps..
and can take a little bit of strain from your PC since its, its own unit which is good, and if your looking to render/edit the clips aswell its format can be placed straight into sony vegas/after effects..
the only thing is that you NEED to run it through a HD component cable which costs like £7 but the quality is still great &...

yes it is REAL but its not going to allow piracy! the only method of backing up with this device is frm disc, so its hardly going to be 'bad' at the most its gonna be like game sharing on a lower scale(because you would need to go round to a friends and copy his discs, and even at that this is not confirmed to work)
thats why its legal because it only has the ability to back up from disc.. and if you own the console, harddrive, game, device then they are your and your free to do what you want with them.. which is why they can say its 'legal'

seems legit BUT its also pretty sweet because..

ahh im 50/50 with thi.. it looks good.. but it seems theyve moved away from the main focus of 'scare factor' that the 1st had.. and more about gameplay mechanics & what you can do..
the 1st had a great mix of both, the 2nd had practically no scare factor..
this however seems like it still has alot of jumkpy moments ANSD alot of cool gameplay mechanics.. although it looks like they might be out doing the scare factor :/ we'll need to wait n...

glad to see they're putting the effort it deserves into this and not just handing us ps3 owners some shambles of a port..
Also i fully respect EA for its recent moves, they've noticed its(the ps3s) potential & power and taken it on as the lead platform and not just given us for most of the games they produce and now the support its getting is pretty insane
