it can be ANY game in the disc drive though.. so you could have a hardrive with say 20 games on it while having say cod4 in the drive and you could just switch between games as much as you want without changing any discs..
and thats exactly why this device is bad.. because as it is in its current state there wont be any homebrew or internet distribution of pirate ps3 games.. there will be alot of people renting games and backing them up, or going to a friends and copying th...
yeah well sort of :/.. the device runs the ps3 in some sort of 'debug' mode which allows the ps3 to read certain files it usually wouldnt allow such as the back up manager, so thats why you need the device.. so you can install the back up manager program :)but my guess is it wont take to long to crack the actual device(instead of just creating clones) and start making theyre own stuff

the games cant be distributed via internet download and then backed up & neither can any other programs, the only reason this is around is because it was stolen and cloned.. people still dont know how to make this from scratch..
so yeah homebrew wont happen, and neither will online distribution of ps3 games.....
and again there is a way around this.. because once you install the 'backup manager' from the USB, you actually no longer need the usb.. meaning and of the games you have backed up to harddrive you can sign out of PSN load the game and play it and if its online sign into psn once its loaded :/ ohh and this articles bs because this device isnt as bad as its being made out..only disc backups can be achieved none of this homebrew or internet gamesharing that being made out
maybe its because this games engine has a version specifically for each platform so that they can get the best they can on each platform.. and its fact that ps3 exclusives are better tech wise and visually than 360 ones so from the start we've known its gonna be PC>PS3>360..
so if your a console only player ps3 is most likely the best choice while if you have a PC that can run it from good-best then obviously go with pc

sony should just release a device that does the same thing, for say £50.. and everythings all good :) it only allows you to back up rom disc so its actually not bad, not like you can now download ps3 games via internet and put them on the hardrive.. that cant be done with this.. so the only thing 'bad' that can come from this is say going round to your friends house and copying one of his games which only results in a problem as big as gamesharing which is still unfixed and been ...

Actually its only games from disc you can back-up.. not "any you dont" because the device and hardrive need to be in your ps3.. and the device is built to run on only the ps3.. therefor theres no way of transferring games via any other method just now.. the guy said himself only backups from Disc will work
