Remember guys, Sony has rights and some control over FF7 simply because they published the game back when it released in Europe and USA.
Not trying to be an Ahole but this is kinda great news. We already know the 360 is easy to develop for, so there is no need to worry whether it will catch up to the PS3 version or not. Whats exciting about the news is that the PS3 version is ahead of the game, and will most likely be a proper version.

Your right, they have gone in two different directions, MS went casual, Sony stayed mostly to the core. If you call relying on multiplats as "being core" than what the hell is the point of a hardcore gamer buying a 360 over a PS3? To pay 60 bucks for cross game chat? Yea, 360 is technically hardcore but its bare minimum, the 360 has turned into the launch version of the Wii except it at least has good 3rd party support. So Xbox 360 fanboys, which console is more hardcore again?

They are not selling it at a loss, the PSVITA is using components that are standard in the Industry right so its not expensive to make. The 3DS is either over priced or the 3D capabilities are expensive to make.
