Nothing wrong with playing older games.
@xX-oldboy-Xx I am aware that some customers want single player DLC. Personally? I'd rather have no DLC and R* focus on the next game. GTA and RDR make the money so again is a smart move for them.
@blop We got Red Dead 2. Games take longer to make these days and the quality of R* single player games have not been effected.
GTA and RDR Online are smart moves though and have zero effect on the single player games. Again R* will be fine.
This isn't the first time this happens nor will it be the last so in other words I doubt they care.
Agreed but this is nothing new.
Verum Rex is in Kingdom Hearts 3. Yozora being a secret boss was inevitable. Although Verum Rex has a lot of things that looks like versus XII did and Nomura can't seem to let it go Verum Rex also has a lot that's different. For reference:

Most games don't run on console at first. Still a next gen version is inevitable but if you're that bothered about having the best version I wonder why you're not buying it on the PC.
"Are you really comparing this overpriced DLC to an entirely new game?"
"It is relevant since a full price game is more substantial than this overpriced DLC"
You are contradicting yourself and it seems we are going around in circles here. As I said I could get 4-5 games for a full price game. This doesn't stop me buying full price games though. Proclaiming you can get more for your money makes no difference to anything.
You are correct. Kingdom Herats 3 now has more content than Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. From the top of my head:
KH 2 FM
- New boss fights
- Critical Mode
- Limit Form
- Puzzle mini game
- New Heartless skins
- New cutscenes
- Theater Mode
Kingdom Heart 3 has all those save for the skins. It also now has a "dark form" and more playable characters.
@-Foxtrot
The games before final mix editions actually wasn't full of content. Kingdom Hearts 2 without Final Mix was more empty than Kingdom Hearts 3. Some folk have very selective memories it seems.
@Daeloki
This would have been added and resold as a final mix had DLC not been a thing. These days they can add extra content via DLC so that's what they did. Some of the content like new drive forms are actually free too.
I'm saying the fact YOU pointing out you can get more things for the price of this DLC like "HD ReMix collections or even one of Square Enix’s own other budget titles" is irrelevant.
I mean this is copywrite infringement so what would anyone expect?
For the price of a full game £40-£50 I could get 4-5 cheap games. What's your point?
It seems to me you've never played a Kingdom Hearts game. If you have you should known "final mix" has always been thing with the series. Not wanting to pay more for DLC =/= the DLC should be in the game from the start too or that it's unfinished.
You are aware Kingdom Hearts games have always had final mix versions for their main titles and we actually had to import the games if we wanted the extra content(unless you lived in Japan). This involved buying the game twice. This DLC is Final Mix like only this time we don't need to buy the game again. Furthermore this DLC was always advertised as elaborating on the ending games stuff because some folk didn't understand.
It'll run it fine. Optimisation is key. We are reaching the end of a console generation so "pushing hardware to the limit" is expected. As is competent devs that know how to work with the platforms.
It's also a pathetic phrase. Granted we all have out favourite consoles but to me personally? I'm a fan of games period. This means I'll buy a PS5 at some point because Sony have been putting out great games but I'm not against buying other consoles too when they put out great games. When the games stop coming I stop buying.
CDPR have already told us the game needs polish but is playable from start to finish. Some folk, even when devs/companies are completely honest must give their hot take for reasons.
I'm sure CDPR know what they are doing. The game is being developed on current gen systems and as they said themselves it's fully playable from start to finish it just needs more polish. Of course we will see a next gen version and that will run better. This article means nothing as CDPR have already told us these things. They are very open about things too.
Thanks for the insight. The story for the most part makes sense to me and I enjoy it. I enjoy the characters too. Needing to play the games in the series to understand the end of a saga is a given too.
